It had been so unexpected, to find the love of her life so randomly, but she couldn’t be happier. Her life was better than it could ever be, and she felt true happiness. However, a part of her wished it could have started off better, because the one night stand didn’t happen as planned. There were various things Mair liked to do to add to the feeling of her small shop. The space was little more than a hole in the wall but she adorned it with colourful rugs and curtains. The odd candle dotted the room, letting the lighting look more and more ominous. Finally, Mair would hide beneath the table whilst a place card beckoned customers to sit down. All this, along with the incense, allowed Mair to set the mood for her customers.

It might all sound silly but it was what worked best. After all, if you wanted a fortune, you could just as easily go buy a fortune cookie for the slip of paper within it. No, no. Mair wasn’t just selling her talent, she was selling an experience.

When the door’s bell rang, Mair put aside the book she was reading and waited to see which seat her new customer would sit in so she could slip up from under the table and spook them.
