you met apostle nathaniel when you were transferred to his hospital. back in your first life, you'd never given the man much thought, scrolling through the fight scenes with only peter on your mind. but you had to admit; the man was cute. people would usually comment on his hollow face and snake-like appearance, but your respect for him increased tenfold when you found out he loved gore and cutting up bodies almost as much as you did.

you loved killer peter because you loved how brutal the characters were when it came to murder. your friend recommended lookism and eleceed since they were well-known action manhwas, thinking that you would like them. though she didn't really understand your concept of action (namely gruesome battles, hopefully to the death), you appreciated the thought. stuff like manager kim, juvenile detention, unholy blood and killer peter though, you found those to be really good. they weren't that gore-y, but at least people wouldn't look at you weird when you say you liked those manhwas. they'd just think a girl like you would be interested in those manhwas because of the hot men (they were partially correct, you suppose).
out of all the characters in killer peter, you relish in the fact that peter himself was the best. you were a huge fan of his character. controversially, you liked the fact that he had a simple goal - to get revenge on glory club and its new leader (unlike lookism - daniel park was weird). your original goal in killer peter was to help peter achieve his goal (who were you kidding - you just wanted to see him in real life), but you realized that you could save the people peter was going to kill in the process, and hopefully use them to help peter.
you decided to start from nathaniel, then work your way from him. it was easy enough - the man was already head over heels just for a single compliment from you. it's like you were putting a blindfold over his eyes, you muse inwardly as you trot after him as he reviews the charts in his grasp, effortlessly flipping through it with one hand, his other tightly interlacing with your tinier palm, his group of a and b-rank killers trailing not far behind the two of you.
patients and employees alike smiled and bowed respectfully to the both of you as you passed by. you smile back politely, waving at people you were more familiar with, though you never left nathaniel's side. not like he would let you anyways - his grip was vice-like.
suddenly feeling bold, you halt in your steps, making your boyfriend pause as well, raising an eyebrow inquisitively as he turns towards you, only to be met by a quick yet sweet kiss pressed to his jaw.
"...what was that for?" he asks, handing his clipboard of charts to one of the killers behind, before using that same hand to softly thread his fingers through your hair.

"no," he replies almost immediately, his face turning dark as he stares into nothingness. "i don't need those foolish idiots fawning over my girlfriend. i'll kill them if they do."
you chuckle, and he immediately whips his head in your direction, the murderous glint in his eyes fading into affection. "alright," you reply in a carefree tone. "i'll trust you with everything, then."
the two of you finish the rest of your rounds in comfortable silence.

"MR. OH, WHERE'S PATIENT 1304'S MEDICAL RECORDS? i need them for his surgery-" you abruptly cut yourself off as you stare at the young man in front of you, staring at you with a neutral look.
the hand holding the doorknob suddenly feels clammy and moist as your face breaks into a natural smile. "oh, hello!" you greet peter. "i apologize, i didn't know anyone else was in the room."
peter stares at you more with the same neutral look, though you could glimpse his gaze narrowing slightly. a chill runs up your spine, though you remain steadfast, smiling warmly at him. "...it's fine, ma'am!" he breaks into a jovial grin, bowing to you respectfully. "i was just helping mr. oh here crack his back."
"what a skilled young man he is, too!" mr. oh butts in with a loud chuckle, slapping peter's back cheerfully. "been feeling that strain for years. with just one crack, this young man manages to fix it! oh, you need patient 1304's medical records right, miss [last name]? they're on my desk, i'll go get them now." he promptly disappears into the backroom, leaving you and peter alone in stifling silence.

"it's fine," you say a bit too quickly, grabbing the medical records as you speedwalk to the door. "thank you, mr. oh." you ignore peter as you slam the door shut behind you.
peter watches as you leave in a hurry, amusement glinting in his eyes. you were intriguing, he thinks to himself as he bows to mr. oh, before excusing himself out of the administration office. though you tried to keep a calm composure, he could see that you were brimming with excitement and awe as you conversed with him. how interesting, he muses, a small smile curling at the corner of his lips. did you know who he was? that was impossible, but not unlikely.
he'll have to keep a close eye on you.

"YOU'VE ADVANCED FROM BEING A D-RANK," the older killer in front of peter says. the man tilts his head curiously, though his dark eyes remain impassive. "the doctor doesn't usually select an escort." the older man huffs, as if he himself couldn't believe it. "well... there's nothing else in particular, but when you're escorting him, you must remember these four things." the killer holds up four fingers. "first, don't talk unless he asks you a question. second, never doubt the professor's actions. third, never talk, look or even think about the doctor's woman."
"his 'woman'?" peter questions curiously, interest sparked. he didn't know apostles these days were allowed to be in relationships. back in his day, love was prohibited because it distracted the killers from their missions. anyone found to be in a relationship of any kind was silently killed.
"yeah," the older killer nods, scratching the back of his neck, as if he couldn't believe it either. "glory club doesn't usually allow killers to be in relationships, but she's a special case we're never allowed to talk about. the doctor's extremely protective of her, so unless you want to end up dead, don't interact with her in any way. her name's [name] [last name]. it'll be easy to spot her; she's the only woman allowed to stand within a metre radius of the doctor." he huffs a small laugh to himself at the joke he made, quieting down once he remembers peter standing beside him, and his face grows serious. "lastly, never decline the doctor's kindness."
his kindness? peter repeats to himself, as he follows the man towards the doors, noting how sweat dripped from his temple, as if he was scared. what is there for him to be so nervous about?
"let's hurry," the man says, speeding up towards the doors. "the doctor hates to be kept waiting." with a ding, the automated doors open wide, as if revealing peter - no, kim sun-gu to the pack of wolves waiting.
and, with a smile, the lion gladly welcomes the wolves to their demise.
