Eyeing gorgeous illustrations or animated shows filled to the brim with breathtaking characters you could only dream of meeting let alone befriending your whole life was the closest you had gotten to it.
Starting anew in Korea gave way to you seeing sights that you never believed you'd ever get to view in person.
Especially in the world of hunters, D&D becoming the new norm of your day to day.
But you were hit on all for kicks to the jokesters, regardless of your hurt emotions from the mockery and cat calls.
Too bad for them, though.
They were nearly extinguished from existence from the one that did take your feelings seriously into account from the moment your eyes connect.
That being your beloved Jinwoo.
In public, he's calm, cool and collected when out with you. But any and every single unfortunate individual that dares attempt to seduce you, never ends well for them. Only your overprotective jealous Monarch has the privilege of doing so.
Today was no exception.
Mr. Go Gunhee, the head of the Hunters Association, wished to meet Jinwoo on some business at the Hunters Gym. Only to be offered to participate in an S-rank training session.
The aura farmer that is your Jinwoo.
The very same one whose agile movements, swift like speed, and high level instincts aided in his perception of the situation. You rarely get to see Jinwoo in training let alone sparring as is.
Seated on the sidelines as you watched the free for all of him against several S-ranks to test how far he has come. That is, with you in the Hunters gym, he knew going all out could potentially put you at risk.
You were both surprised you could stay, barely being swept up in S-tier brawls as is.
But you weren't worried. Rather, you were narrowed in on Jinwoo's thick heavyweight black sweatshirt riding up as he swerved through Lim Tae-Gyu's rain shower of arrows, revealing those sculpted muscles along his abdomen. Those light gray spray painted cargo pants hugged his long legs in all the best ways as he clashed kicks with Cha Hae-In, especially for his well crafted ass clenching in response. His ebony wavy locks twinkled with sheen as he worked up a sweat flying through the air while running along the giant sized Ma Dongwook swinging his arms about.
Those eyes of Jinwoo's blazed from the combat high as he stole glances at you now and then, widening at how raptured you were at his prowess; despite holding back for your safety, gave him such a prideful boost as his lips curled smugly before easily knocking Ma back from landing right on his forehead.
“Are you alright?” That deep baritone voice drew you out of your wandering mind of dreams suffocating your faint hearted self. The sweaty bare chested man that is Baek Yoonhoo walking up to you from the main hallway. Your face burned at how impressive the guild master of the White Tiger guild looked up close. His own sheen made his muscles really pop out.
“Yeah. Just lost in thought.” Tremors leaked in your pronunciation for your heart raced at sensing piercing eyes aimed right at you and they weren't Baek's.
With the fluffy towel wrapped around his thick veiny neck, he started wiping away the sweat trailing along his sharp face when his curious sharp toothed smile of his gave your insides somersaults. “Quite a heated match here. Hunter Sung is putting on quite the show for you.”
“Oh I wouldn't put it like that …” The unsure awkward drawl you left off on got him raising a brow at your self conscious behavior. Glowing eyes narrowed in suspicion, within your Shadow and from afar. “I would have liked to see you take part though.”
Baek sheepishly chuckled, hints of red dusting his chiseled cheeks. “While I appreciate it, I admit my very best isn't enough to reach his level though —”
Perception works both ways.
Chewing the inside of his cheek as he got nearly socked in the face was Jinwoo's best way of keeping his growls subdued, hearing exchanged word for word through your linked shadows.
“The Beast being humble, how quaint.” The teasing lilt in the new voice joining in nabbed you threes’ attention. “So, you're the lucky lady that has our newest S-rank wrapped around their finger.”
The sly charming smile of the guild master of the Hunters Guild, Choi Jong-in, got you kind of weary.
“I'm surprised Hunter Sung is willing to participate in this little match. Then again, Hunter Cha has spoken nothing but praise of him as of late. She's quite taken by him.”
The rush of clashing against his opponent suddenly became second in Jinwoo's spirit, the shock of Choi's seed of doubt placed in your mind sends the strands of envy intertwining with rage.
Baek bit out, jabbing his irksome rival in the ribs with that hefty elbow of his, those crimson eyes heatedly glaring in reply. “Way to show tact, jackass. Pay his words no mind, Ms. L/n.”
The crumpled frown you couldn't suppress despite Baek's advice grew, spotting the pair now engaging in close combat. Even from far away you could imagine that same longing mystique in her gaze that'd be on par with yours. All for Jinwoo. And only him.
But with his back facing you, you couldn't quite see his beautiful, familiar face. Nor his glowing eyes matching the mana visually seeping out of his twitching fingertips; his tolerance running thin.
“Forgive me for my insensitivity. Anyone foolish enough to let such a rare gem slip from their grasp is the true fool. That said,” Choi's amicable smile still made such mixed feelings stir in your nerve wracked cage, even as he took your hand graciously. "It's truly a pleasure to meet you, my dear.”
Baek clicked his tongue. “Putting the moves on her won't win you any favors.”
Choi's calm demeanor cracked. “Says the married man that approached her first.”
The taller of the two butted heads with the smaller one, literally. “I'm not the one actively hitting on a taken woman, genius!”
“Gentlemen, there's no need to fight!” Being the center of attention in the midst of a developing brawl got your nerves wracked.
Perception works both ways, indeed.
The baring fangs and the flames sparking at the fingertips get blown away by the thick smog of imposing aura that curtains you from behind in an instant. His musky sweaty scent reeled you back, those firm hands squeezing your hip bones quite needily. Everyone's shadows rippled from the King making his presence known.
“I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't fill my angel's head with such delusions anymore, Hunter Choi.” Jinwoo’s minatory words irked the latter just as it terrified them both. Especially when your love's voice warped to match that of an inhuman entity. “Implying I'd leave her for another is unforgivable.”
Spotting Hae-In from out of the corner of your eye, her downtrodden eyes full of ache at her lovelorn self made you toil in pity yet taking twisted pleasure in it.
Auras stoked like bonfires at this confrontation, the experienced hunters glowing eyes widened in alarm from the endless well Jinwoo's own mana emanated.
“You can have your little quarrel elsewhere … unless you rather join me in a spar of our own to settle this dispute.” The eerie smirk on Jinwoo's face startled both men, garnering the other hunters concern of the potential clash, knowing their newest addition could level the entire area and more if pushed too far —
“Jin.” Your voice calling out his name calmed the raging storm inside, him softening at those lovestruck eyes of yours. “It's okay.” He felt your form slowly calming down, growing more slackened against his warm self.
His snugly arms coiled around your frame, humming deeply, before firmly pecking your forehead. “Sorry for keeping you waiting, sweetheart~” That honey dripping tone he purred in your ear had you trembling, a stark contrast from his earlier behavior. “I hope you enjoyed my performance though~” His fingers pinched the plush area above your hips, drawing jumpy squeals out of you, his genuine grin popping out in response to your precious light. “Shall we get going, then?” Your nod of approval gets him squeezing you tighter. “Sorry gentlemen. Next time, then. Shadow Exchange.” The shades of night enveloped you as you were still in his grasp, taking you with him. A shadow soldier took its lieges’ place before vanishing itself in black wisps.
Back in the comfort of your shared place, Jinwoo gave you another forehead kiss before excusing himself to go shower.
Your muscles flared as chronic body pains were your crutch. Laying on your tummy on your shared bed, you spent a good while on your phone, chasing your earlier strifes away by playing the newest 3D otome game straight outta China that had you joining the many other starved ladies out there.
Whether the time traveler, the doctor, the merman, the dragon, or the colonel, you were having a hell of a time.
Lost in the addiction of mobile gameplay, you fail to detect the halt of the shower head running nor the adjoining bathroom door opening up with his silhouette in the frame, drying his wet hair, spotting you smiling at your digital boy toy.
The predatory growl from above that came with a heavy body carefully pinning you beneath his bare torso got your attention finally. Long lithe hands easily pried your phone out of your grasp, scraping his thumb only for your CG favorite calling out to you.
“How dare you steal my angel from me, bastard?” Such a low primal growl, his flashing eyes reflecting on your screen in that moment.
“Jin, it's just a game.” You murmured.
Tossing your phone gingerly a bit away from you both along your plush comforter, he leans off you just to roll you on your back, gulping at how quickly his eyes darkened. His own sheen marbled bode replaces that of Baek's in your mind's eye, slowly heaving those plush pecs and smooth abs dotted by droplets that added to the attractiveness.
“One that's nabbed your attention elsewhere. And after earlier today, all I want now is all your affection.” His coy grin grew as your hands already brushed those drops away while feeling the muscles beneath. “Like so~”
“You know I love you.”
“And the other way around?” He takes handfuls of the comforter around both sides of your head as he lowers down slowly enough until he drapes over your being, his seabreeze body lotion scenting his skin, his sweatpants hanging loosely by those peaking out hips as he pinned yours in between, his face now a hair's breadth away. “You're not the only person alive plagued with jealousy.”
“Master Baek is happily married and Master Choi isn't much my type so —”
“He crossed a line today.” His rumbling grunt cut those words in half.
“Miss Cha still really likes you. Even before I came along.” Your sad accepting smile aches him even more.
“She's just as much a comrade as she is my friend. But I turned her down because I met you.”
“I'm no S class hunter, though. Nor a mighty vessel of power. I don't have much to offer as a hopeless human.” The self-inflicted seeds of doubt were an ongoing problem you still struggle with, more than ever now.
Your choked up vulnerability pulled at his heart strings. Tears trailed sideways from your eyes, wetting the cloth, to which his thumbs immediately rubbed against your already reddening gaze. “You're my passion.” Your fangirling escapades into your interests always grabbed his intrigue. “My inspiration.” You became his biggest reason to making the world a less cruel place for you both. “My heart.”
“And you're my strength.” His humble sweetness earned him your trust. “My courage.” Witnessing his strength amiss his conquests swooned you over. “My angel.”
The shower of yearning kisses littered every inch of your face, your smile now one of relieving joy. Those velvety lips of his suddenly trailed down to your neck, bringing forth shuddering gasps and breathy moans outta you.
“In this version of the story, you've become my light.” The sharp deep bites he began marking all over your neck brought forth such burning longing in you, already wringing through his wet silk hair, keeping him as close as possible. “You have yourself to blame.” His heated breath meets your collarbone before he suckles there until red blemishes decorate it.
“Pardonne-moi?” You quipped naively.
“Your stubborn little self wormed your way into my life. Can't let you be in the company of another man vying for your hand, now can I?”
Tapping his shoulders, you get him to look up at your blushing beautiful self.
“You've filled my every thought, every wish, and every dream from the moment I met you.” Cradling his face in your hands, diving into those endless pools of gray and blue wonder. The plethora of feelings mere simple words cannot come close to truly representing them still retain a chokehold on you but you still try. “I want only you, Jinwoo. Forever.”
You felt his smile against your chest before he crawled up to finally devour that achingly intoxicating mouth of yours.
“Y/n, I'm incomplete without you.” He breathed between breaks. “I know you inside and out.” This feverish makeout got steamy real quick. “Your personal taste, your darkest desires, your type.” Traversing familiar smoldering caverns, tongues clashing for dominance, both of you starving for each other's essence. “You're stuck with me, you naive tease.”
“Likewise, you farming Player.” Your otherworldly knowledge still astounds him to this day.
His dark chuckle got your spine shivering with excitement.
“Going all out would have been another story entirely.” The towel draped around his neck gets tugged off. “I'd let you and only you be my audience for that.” You're puddy in his hold as his other hand gingerly took both yours. “To prove how I alone am the only one worthy to be yours.” Binding your hands above your head with his towel. “For the rest of eternity.”
His hand wandered down your goosebumped arms, brushing your hair before tenderly cupping your already nuzzling cheek, his thumb teasing your bottom bruised lip, and his tongue licked his own in anticipation.
“Now then, my Y/n, we have a long night ahead of us …” Straddling your hips, you already felt his crotch needily brushing up against your own. “Enough to have every inch of you mine for the taking.”
His half lidded eyes glowed again, his other hefty hand resting over right where your racing heart was, beating for him. And only him.
“Shall we~?”
Hearts filled his eyes as did yours for his jealousy is on par with yours.
The cold breeze envelopes you into the timeless nights of Kowloon Hell as your mind races back to the events that led you here.
It all began on that island—an isolated stretch of land where the D-rankers were gathered for testing. The mission was simple: survive or be slaughtered. But it was there, between the chaos and bloodshed, that you and Thaddeus crossed paths.
It was on that island that you asked Thaddeus to be your teacher. Watching him fight stirred something deep within you—his combat skills were both terrifying and mesmerizing, leaving you in awe while also sending a chill of fear through your veins.
You glance around. The training area is secluded, hidden beneath the shadow of a ruined building. The growing darkness of dusk makes the atmosphere unsettling.
The name of this city, after all, is spot on. It does look quite like hell.
"Are you ready, little one?" And there he is, with his annoying little smirk.
You couldn't stand him. How could you?
He's an asshole pretending to be a goody two-shoes. You can't wrap your head around the fact that everyone finds him fun to be around.
He's just a little brat, walking around like the world belongs to him.
That smile of his, the one that always lingers on his lips, as if he's holding some secret he refuses to share, makes your blood boil. It's as if he knows exactly how to push your buttons, teasing you as if he finds your irritation amusing, as if your every reaction were a game to him.
You hated how effortlessly he seemed to get under your skin. It's maddening. If only he'd stop dragging you into his twisted games. But no, he's always there—the more you try to ignore him, the more it feels like he's just waiting to prove you wrong.
And now that you've spent even more time together, as if it were possible, Thaddeus seemed even more irritating. The tension between you two is palpable, an unspoken challenge hanging in the air, charging every movement, every breath. The training sessions were a constant reminder of the fine line between hate and desire.
Several weeks had passed since your first lesson together. You remembered his words:
"I won't be a gentle teacher," Thaddeus said. "I will push all your limits. You'll learn discipline and perseverance."
And it was very much the truth. He did, in fact, break all your boundaries and limits—not that it was a bad thing. He's a good teacher; he just has a very unique and questionable way of teaching.
But it was worth it. You made great progress.
"Today you'll fight me," Thaddeus snapped you out of your thoughts, throwing some bands at you to wrap around your hands. "Should we make a bet, doll face?" His languid smile threw you off. You were startled by this sudden change of behavior; his eyes sparked with mischievousness.
"What kind of bet?" you asked cautiously. It was obvious that this was just another one of his twisted mind games, where he is the only one to take pleasure from ruining others.
"If I win," Thaddeus continued, his voice dripping with amusement, "you'll have to follow my orders for the next week. No questions, no complaints."
Your mind racing as you weighed your options. Thaddeus wasn't the type to lose, and the thought of being under his orders unsettled you. But then again, you had no intention of letting any weakness show
"And if I win?" you asked, trying to keep your voice steady despite the growing tension.
Thaddeus’s grin widened, a glint of something darker in his eyes. "If you win, I'll leave you alone for the same amount of time. No games, no tricks, just peace."
It sounded alluring .Too good to be true.
A rare opportunity to be free of his manipulation, but something inside you told you it was a trap.
"What’s the catch?" you asked, narrowing your eyes.
He chuckled softly"No catch, doll. But you'll have to earn it."
The Apostle assumes a combat stance, smirking quietly to himself.
He revels in your reactions; they ignite a dark, dangerous fire within him that he can't quite comprehend. That relentless, stubborn attitude of yours drives him to the edge, making him eager to break you—body and soul—in more ways than one.
"Let's see what you got, doll face," he says mockingly.
This will be interesting, he thinks to himself.
--
The air was thick with the scent of sweat and leather, the only sound being the soft, rhythmic thud of your shoes against the ground.
Thaddeus’s eyes gleamed with that familiar playfulness as he took his stance once again.
"You can’t even keep up with the basics," he remarked, his voice dripping with amusement as you struggled to block one of his kicks.
"Still think you’re ready for this?" His gaze pierced right through you.
"Shut up, asshole." With a fierce grunt, you lunged forward, aiming to land a punch.
"Oh~" he chuckled. "You shouldn't run your mouth. I'm your teacher, doll face," he said, dismissing your attempts to hit him.
Thaddeus came closer, positioning himself behind you. You could feel the heat emanating from his body.
"Here, let me help you." His lips brushed against your ear, his whisper low and husky, his hands landing on your waist to correct your form.
The heat from his touch seared through your body, as if it burned you. You flinched but didn’t pull away.
"Relax... you're too tense," he murmured, his breath warm and tickling against your ear, giving you goosebumps.
Thaddeus noticed your reaction and smiled to himself, pleased. He relished the power—even if minimal—that he held over you.
He enjoyed toying with your senses—he squeezed your waist, light yet possessing, before letting go.
You clenched your jaw, refusing to acknowledge how his proximity affected you.
"Let's try it again."
---
Your body was on fire, every muscle screaming from the relentless pace. You knew Thaddeus was toying with you, deliberately letting you get close enough to think you might land a hit—only to dodge at the last moment. But his movements were smooth, almost predatory. You were both breathing hard, drenched in sweat, but neither of you was willing to admit defeat.
But just as you lunged one last time, your movements faltering for a split second, his hand shot out, catching your wrists.
In the blink of an eye, Thaddeus had you pinned against the wall. As you looked up at him, time seemed to stretch, the world narrowing to just the two of you.
"Looks like I won," his tall figure towering over you, making you feel tiny and vulnerable.
"Get off, weird glasses," you said, trying to sound indifferent, as if you weren't at his mercy.
He leaned in closer, a smirk playing on his lips. "Nope, I don't think I will."Thaddeus's voice was soft, but the challenge in it was unmistakable. His grip on your wrists tightened, and you could feel his pulse beating against your own, matching the erratic rhythm of your heart.
You swallowed hard, your mind racing for a way to escape his grasp. You tried to shift, to use your body weight to your advantage, but it was futile.
"Let go of me, Thaddeus," you spat, venom lacing your voice, though even you could hear the uncertainty beneath it.
"Tch, tch, tch," he murmured, lowering his head. "I'm the one who won the bet, pretty little thing."
It was the confirmation you’d dreaded: all of this was a trap. He had you exactly where he wanted.
Thaddeus traced a finger slowly down your jawline, then lifted your chin with deliberate tenderness. He leaned in closer, his face mere inches from yours. You closed your eyes, feeling the light brush of his lips against yours, and for a heartbeat, you wondered if he might kiss you. The mere possibility twisted your stomach.
But no. Instead, he rested his forehead against yours.
Thaddeus, clearly delighted by your reaction, let out a soft chuckle—a mocking, dark sound.
"You're a challenge, doll face," he whispered, his voice low, a dangerous edge to it. "And I like challenges."
His gaze searched yours, seeking something you couldn’t quite name.
Hate? Desire? Hunger?
"I’ll kiss you," he said abruptly.
Your eyes widened at his words. You turned your head, as if the movement could banish the turmoil rising inside you. "No," you whispered, more to yourself than to him. You wanted it—and the thought maddened you.
Thaddeus raised an eyebrow, savoring the sight of your flustered expression. "Yes," he said, and before you could protest further, his lips crashed against yours.
This was no gentle kiss. It was rough, hungry, possessive—an expression of all the unspoken tension between you.
Thaddeus held you with one of his large hands, pinning you in place, while the other slid down to your waist.
Every instinct in your body urged you closer to him.
Thaddeus softly pulls away, his lips brushing gently over your lower lip before he breaks the kiss.
"I knew you wanted this as much as I do," he murmurs, the words lingering in the air between you. A shiver runs through you at his certainty, and it makes you painfully aware of the truth you've been hiding—how much you've pretended not to feel, how much you've denied the pull of his presence.
You meet his gaze, unwilling to give him the satisfaction of seeing the effects he has over you. Your heart pounds in your chest.
"I hate you," you snap, the words laced with frustration—anger not just at him, but at the burning, forbidden desire that threatens to unravel you.
Thaddeus's lips curl into a knowing smile, a low chuckle escaping him. He sees right through the mask you’ve so carefully constructed.
"Hate me all you want, doll face. But you’re still here, aren’t you?"
He didn't need you to say it out loud:the kiss has told him everything he needed to know.
This wasn’t just a fleeting game anymore.
"Show me how much you hate me," he says, smirking knowingly. But you don’t have time to respond before his lips meet yours once more.
He lifts you effortlessly, without breaking the kiss—everything about him is too easy, too confident. It feels almost natural to be in his arms, as if this is exactly where you belong.
He sets you down gently on the weathered table, positioning himself between your legs.
A surge of irritation courses through you, and before you can stop it, your teeth sink into his lower lip, biting down with enough force to draw blood. The sharp, metallic taste fills your mouth, but it’s quickly drowned by the heat of his mouth on yours.
Thaddeus hisses, his breath sharp and shallow but he doesn’t pull away. Instead, his grip tightens around you, his body pressing closer, his heat seeping into every inch of you. “You have no idea how much I love it when you’re like this,” he murmurs, his voice low and dark...sending a shiver of something you refuse to name spiraling down your spine.
The words vibrate through you, igniting a hunger that you try desperately to suppress. But with each movement, each breath, you feel yourself unraveling further, helpless against the pull of his touch, the ache in your chest that makes it harder and harder to remember why you hate him so much.
With a kiss that mirrors the intensity of his passion, he takes a handful of your hair and tilts your head to expose the soft curve of your neck. He whispers in your ear, his voice low, "You drive me insane," before pressing open-mouthed kisses down your throat, biting, suckling—marking you.
Thaddeus hums softly to himself, savoring the sight of his marks upon you—so innocent,so delicate. It stirs something primal and visceral within him, a deep, aching hunger that refuses to be ignored.
In the back of his mind, clouded by desire, a thought urges him to stain you further, to make you submit to him. Only to him.
Thaddeus stands over you, breathing heavily. You’ve both crossed a line now. His touch, his words—there's no escaping it.
"You're mine now," Thaddeus murmurs, his voice dark but oddly tender as his gaze softens just enough to make your heart skip.
"Open your mouth," he commands, his voice low, almost a whisper, but heavy with authority.
You hesitate, feeling the weight of his gaze on you; however, your head tells you to follow his instructions to please him.
Slowly, you part your lips, looking up at him as if you were a puppy waiting for its owner's praise.
He smiles, pleased with your obedience, his eyes tracing every subtle movement you make. Then, without warning, he slides two of his fingers into your mouth. A small, almost inaudible whimper escapes your mouth as you take in the thickness of his fingers.
"That's it," Thaddeus murmurs, his voice thick with satisfaction. He begins to move, his fingers deepening inside your mouth. "Yes, good puppy," he praises, his tone dark and laced with dominance, amazed by how effortlessly you submit to him.
His breath quickens, each inhale sharp and shallow, as the heat between you intensifies.
The warmth of your mouth, the sight of your complete submission, and the way your tongue swirls around his fingers—it's almost too much for him to bear.
He pulls his coated fingers from your mouth, bringing them slowly to his lips. His eyes never leave yours, dark with lust and intensity, as he licks them clean, savoring the taste of you.
You almost whine in protest but then, realization hits you.
What the fuck just happened?!
You push him away with all your strengths
The pull between you is undeniable. You're tangled up in his world, in his games.
You turn around facing him once more.
"I hate you," you whisper, but the words feel empty now.He already knows the truth.
And with that awareness you storm out the training area.
The kiss, the tension, the games—this isn't over. Not yet.

PART 2 (here)
(( Remember that my ask are OPEN - Spanish or English, please ASK ME ANYTHING, tALK TO ME AND LEAVE A COMENT IF YOU LIKE UU))
My first language is not English, so I apologize for any grammatical error.
The day had been strange.
A maid had pushed her out of her room, the small attic where she slept was suddenly being remodeled for no reason.
For the first time in her life, she had been bathed—with someone else’s hands on her. They weren’t soft or gentle like she had imagined, but it was something.
Her heart skipped a beat when her father didn’t look at her with disgust, then he invited her to sit at the table with them.
Her brothers and sisters ignored her while she tried to climb onto the chair; her small body couldn't, she didn't have the strength to pull herself up. Perhaps out of pity, someone lifted her and dropped her onto the cushion.
She ate in silence.
She had never enjoyed such warm bread, such a fresh salad… a piece of meat cooked with such care.
For a moment, she ignored the screams in the back of her mind, the bruises under the dress they caused, the needles in her tiny heart from the insults at home.
Maybe... just maybe...
— “You are getting engaged to Prince Athernitas. The carriage will arrive later to take you to the palace. Do not bring further shame to your family.” —
Her fork almost slipped from her hand. She looked up for a moment.
“Damn bastard.”
Oh…
Maybe… this was too good for a mistake like her.
She nodded silently, tears falling into her soup as the meal ended.
She held back her sobs while her family chatted cheerfully among themselves.
They had finally gotten rid of the stain on the duchy.
How dare that damned maid even think she had a chance? He didn’t hesitate to kill her. He didn’t listen to her screams or prayers, not even the name of the child.
Another one of Anastacius’s servants added to the list. He didn’t need her. How naïve, to think she could still be alive, to think she could hide his brother’s daughter.
Claude smiled just knowing Anastacius had died in his arms, never even knowing he would have a daughter. An ugly baby, a misshapen lump of flesh and tiny eyes barely able to open.
And yet, the imperial jewels were obvious.
His hand went to the hilt of his sword. The damned baby wouldn’t stop crying.
But he couldn’t finish the job.
— “Your Majesty, please, I beg you. She’s just a baby.” —
When had Felix arrived? Claude was too tired to deal with his friend’s soft heart.
— “She is a direct threat to me. I will not raise a bastard. Her father and mother died by my hands.” — Claude replied coldly.
Felix hesitated for a moment, then spoke.
— “I will raise her. I’ll take care of her. She is my niece.” —
— “You have no sisters, Felix.” —
— “But she was from my duchy. I-I think she was a cousin of mine, so…” — Felix insisted nervously. The woman on the floor, her empty eyes, her hair indistinguishable from the blood. — “Do me this favor, Your Majesty. Haven’t I proven my loyalty? I’ll raise her. You’ll never have to see her again. Her royal blood won’t be a problem.” —
Claude clicked his tongue. Felix was too persistent.
The baby had stopped crying a while ago. Her eyes stared straight at them, and Claude could see Felix resisting the urge to pick her up.
— “Do what you want. I’ll kill her if she becomes a nuisance.” —
Once Claude left, Felix felt like he could breathe again.
Slowly, with trembling hands, he knelt before the baby, hidden in a cushioned box, just a few strands of hair on her head, but the red of his family was already visible.
What had he just gotten himself into? But… how could he let a mere baby be killed in front of him? A child of his house, his family.
He slowly removed his glove, cleaning his hand as best he could before reaching toward her. He nearly jumped when the baby cried and flinched instinctively, a gesture full of fear that tugged at his heart.
— “It’s okay, you’re safe now, little one…” — he whispered nervously.
A loud cry, a tiny body—he had never seen anything so… curious, vulnerable, or helpless.
He’d deal with Claude later. He’d ask the maids if he needed to get a wet nurse. He’d figure out how much this girl would grow, whether she liked chocolate, what flower would be her favorite, whether she’d want to dance in a puffy dress or wield a sword at his side.
At his side.
Felix couldn’t hold back anymore and gently touched the baby’s cheeks—ugly little face, teary eyes, and red skin from crying so much.
Such tenderness.
A memory came to him—him crying alone at home, while his mother had to care for Claude and only see him a few days a month. A strict father who was more soldier and teacher than parent.
A good childhood, but a lonely one.
Erika Robain had been an incredible woman. An amazing nanny to Claude, who gave him what little humanity and love he ever received. A woman who taught Felix to be kind and always help when he could.
It was a shame Felix barely saw a mother in her.
When the baby finally stopped crying and drifted into a deep, careless, soft sleep, Felix smiled.
— “I don’t want to! No! No!” — Erika sobbed as hard as she could, barely able to articulate her words as she kicked in Felix’s arms. He only smiled. It was rare for little Erika to throw tantrums like the nearly-two-year-old girl she was.
It was still difficult—being in such a small body was complicated. The frustration of feeling so intensely. Maybe being this little, her mind couldn’t process emotions the same way.
But she was scared. Why had her nanny gotten sick that day? She knew things at the palace were tense, and she didn’t want to risk even seeing the emperor.
Father said his name was Claude, that he was a wounded man. Felix always spoke too well of someone like the emperor. Erika shouldn’t have, but she had listened and read about that cruel man in the papers.
Knowing how to rule doesn’t make you benevolent.
Being a good king… doesn’t make you a good man.
She couldn’t bear to see those cold eyes again. The imperial sapphires still scared her. She hated admitting she had cried more than once seeing her reflection. She hated possessing the imperial jewels—it brought back too many memories.
— “Daddy’s just going to a meeting and then we can go home. I know Erika can handle it.” —
She wanted to roll her eyes. Felix looked just as sad about leaving her alone on his day off.
The castle was bigger than she remembered and had changed so much—sometimes she forgot how many centuries had passed in the blink of an eye. The place that had been her home for nearly ten years was now unfamiliar. She didn’t like it at all.
Felix secured her necklace—the magic stone that turned her eyes a dull blue, almost gray. He straightened her dress and kissed her cheeks, prolonging their goodbye as much as he could.
It was still so strange. A year in this body, and feeling so loved was unfamiliar too.
Her cheeks turned crimson when her chubby hand instinctively grabbed Felix’s shirt.
The man laughed, charmed, which embarrassed her even more.
— “Daddy, hurry, come get Erika.” —
If not for the maid, the Scarlet Knight would’ve melted and ditched his meeting just to stay with his daughter.
Time still moved slowly. Just weeks ago, he had it all. A woman, his fairy who loved him as he was, his light… and now he was alone again. He still remembered her last breath and the damn name she gave that thing.
Athanasia.
What was so good about a baby? Was she better than him? Was she worth it?
Was a baby he’d never see grow really a good enough reason to leave him again?
Damn it, Diana. Damn bitch, how dare you?
Why did it hurt so much to even think about it? Maybe he really should’ve killed that thing.
He’d made the same mistake twice now.
Another burden.
Claude immediately remembered Felix’s voice—sounding like a stupid parrot for the past year or more.
“Erika took her first step and fell—it was the cutest thing ever.”
“Erika said her first word, Your Majesty! Please, let me change my name to ‘Daddy’!”
“Erika smiled today, Your Majesty. Could you send me the court painter’s contact?”
“Erika’s birthday is coming soon, Your Majesty, please grant me the day off.”
Damn Felix. Damn brat. Damn baby. Damn Diana.
His feet moved on their own. Maybe because his mind was elsewhere—angry.
Jealous, jealous of Felix’s smile—so calm, so pure, and so full.
Seriously, what was so good about a baby?
— “Miss Erika, you really can walk. What flowers are you picking?” —
His steps halted. Out of the corner of his eye, Claude saw it—a tiny, chubby body with a splash of fiery red hair.
Erika fell again on her rear, annoyed. The maid had dragged her out of the room! She wanted to sleep until Felix came back, and now she was picking flowers grudgingly because that woman said Felix liked flower crows.
Daisies would look best in her red hair.
Although, her father looked good in anything.
She stood up again, barely able to hold the bundle of flowers in her tiny hands when she felt it—before she saw it.
She trembled instantly and froze in place. The mana—her body could sense it so clearly, it was terrifying. And the horrified expression on the maid behind her did not help.
She heard the footsteps stop behind her, and a shadow covered her completely.
She didn’t want to turn around. Damn it, she didn’t need to turn to know she had the worst luck in the world.
— “Brat... I thought you were at least polite, after all Felix said about you.” —
His voice was so familiar, so cold. She didn’t dare look back, and maybe that’s why she was grabbed so roughly that a little yelp escaped her.
Lifted rudely by the collar of her dress, she had no choice—her eyes met Claude’s.
Imperial jewels filled with hatred, cold, as if she weren’t even human.
— “I see now. Felix put a spell on you.” —
Claude laughed, and with his free hand, he pressed on the girl's necklace. The mana stone shattered, and finally—both sets of imperial eyes met.
Felix always described his daughter as calm, sweet, never throwing tantrums or crying, but afraid.
And oh, the girl was afraid—so much so, Claude couldn’t help but smile.
The ugly, red little face was bigger now, her eyes more defined, chubby cheeks, and messy red hair covering part of her face.
— “There you are...” — His voice dripped with venom. Nothing. He felt nothing. Was this it? Was this what Felix made such a fuss about?
Was this the baby Diana had abandoned him for? Had died for—?
— "WAAAAAAAAA!" —
Erika didn’t cry. Of course not. But how could she not, when her whole body was shaking and she felt like she might wet herself any second?
Her throat reacted on its own—the fear of dying again so soon, under the same bloodline, was too strong.
Claude looked genuinely surprised for once, and… uncomfortable.
A heartless man who had made a little girl cry.
Felix would scold him.
He brought the redhead closer to his face, and the crying grew louder.
— “Shut up already. You look hideous like this. Felix is a real idiot for wanting something so ugly.” — Tear-stained face, scrunched-up nose, runny nose, and red cheeks.
"Ugly?"
Damn them all, every member of the royal family was the same—heartless, arrogant, soulless.
She wouldn’t be killed a second time.
She was fast—so fast the maid even gasped as little Erika extended her hand, and the poor flowers were thrown right into Claude’s face with the zero strength of a baby.
Claude blinked—a petal even flew into his mouth—and he almost dropped the child to the floor.
But before that could happen, Erika was already crying her lungs out in her father's arms.
Felix had run from the north tower the moment he heard his daughter’s first scream. He hadn’t expected to find Claude as the culprit, but he didn’t hesitate to take his daughter and try to calm her down.
He didn’t even glance at Claude, still standing there with petals in his hair and on his face.
He cradled the child, whispered softly to soothe her, kissed her eyelids until Erika slowly came back to herself.
Felix was safety. She was okay. She wouldn’t die today… right?
— “Daddy… let’s go…” — she sobbed, red cheeks and tearful eyes pressed against the redhead’s chest. He sighed and nodded.
— “Your Majesty, I’m taking my leave for today.” — He looked at Claude for only a moment. He expected to see an angry man, maybe indifferent, or the weight of mourning still heavy on his posture—but instead, he saw something far more unsettling.
Claude was smiling.
Almost imperceptibly. His lips pressed tightly, but Felix caught the curve, and eyes full of curiosity.
— “Felix, you may bring her next time.” — Claude said, like someone permitting a pet to be brought to work.
Erika didn’t let go of her father’s hand the entire walk through the palace. Uncomfortable, she could feel Claude’s gaze on her back, and how Athanasia seemed to want to talk to him.
The table was quickly set, and Felix kissed her forehead to help her into her chair. But before he could, Claude stopped him, stepping in front of her.
Erika held her breath—the aura of a broken man clinging to what little he had left. And before she could ask, he knelt.
The Emperor of Obelia knelt at the feet of the Rose of his Empire.
— “Liss…” — Claude’s hand was cold to the touch. She almost shivered, frowning slightly when the man kissed her knuckles.
Felix only smiled, slightly tense. Athanasia looked so terrified Erika avoided her gaze, only to find Claude smiling at her instead.

𓆩 ♡ 𓆪 [10:45 PM] - "Should I be worried that you know how to replicate fake blood this well? I probably should be, right?" Jinwoo jokes as he enters your dorm room.
You decided to be a killer playboy bunny for the Halloween party tonight. The five-kitchen ingredient mixture drips from your neck as only moments ago you finished your makeup.
"If you want to get bloody tonight, I've got enough to share." You chuckle, placing the bowl of red liquid on your desk. "Where's your costume?"
Originally, it was supposed to be you and your best friend. She got hit with a bad stomach virus the night before and was still in recovery.
He offered to be your plus one once you gave him the news. It's somewhat of a favor he owed you from before. He's dressed in a black cotton button-down, partially unbuttoned, with matching black jeans. Black high-top Chuck Taylor's on his feet.
"My package got delayed, so no Ghostface mask. You're my plan B."
"Plan B?"
He takes a seat at your desk, crossing his arms as he leans back into your chair. "You've got any ideas?"
You squint, trying to picture a look on him. Something that would take no time at all.
"A Skeleton." You snap your fingers, having an 'aha' moment.
His mouth curled into a smile as he nodded, lifting his shoulder in a half shrug. Digging through your makeup bag, whatever wasn't in there was strewn about.
Your posters, tapestries, and post-it notes with reminders and daily affirmations on them catch his attention. Everything had a similar color palette, from your sheets to your laundry basket to your rug beside your bed. It made him wish he'd stop by more often.
"Do you want me to paint your neck and chest too?" You asked, sizing him up as you organized your brushes and body paints.
Your question hangs in the air. He hasn't had his face painted since he was a child. Tonight was the one night he could be truly himself. Carefree and stupid like every other twentysomething. Based on your makeup alone, he knows he's in good, capable hands.
Jinwoo scoots forward in your chair.
"Yeah, go all out. Make me a skeleton."
You smirk, standing between his legs. Raking your fingers through his hair, you attach two larger hair clips. His exposed forhead met a cooling sensation from your primer. Its slushy to then tacky consistency threw him off.
You trace a black outline around his eye sockets, whispering for him to close his eyes. He does so, allowing you to deepen the shadows. Drawing on his nasal cavities and each tooth across his upper and lower lip, you're deathly close. Your thumb smudges away any mistakes, much to his confusion. He almost thought you were doing it on purpose. Almost.
Down his neck, your thin brush goes as he twitches a tad. "Are you ticklish?" You take a go at him. There was no reply. He merely blinks and scoffs.
You keep going, carving out each spinel vertebrae. From the cervical to the thoracic vertebra, brushstrokes flowed into his ribcage. His toned chest surprises but doesn’t shock you. Guess all that excessive training paid off.
"Tell me, what made you take this route this year?" A cheeky grin plastered across his face. "Never would've thought you were one for the classics."
"Classic easy access, you mean?" You joke, applying the white body paint next. It fills in the shaped skull of his face like an X-ray. Your brush strokes earn another twitch out of him.
"Jin, quit moving, or you're gonna look like shit." You huff, sucking your teeth.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I can't help it. It feels weird."
His mischievous glint in his eyes trails up and down your neck and exposed chest.
"I guess I'm playing guard dog tonight, too? All things considered?"
"If you're looking for an excuse to kick some guy's ass for looking at me too hard, be my guest. You don't need my permission."
You straightened your stance, making sure every marking was symmetrical. Up went your thumb. It splits his face into two halves. Closing your right eye, your tongue sticks out from between your lips.
He leans his head to the left, taking your thumb in his larger hand and pulling you forward.
"Whaddaya doing?"
"Admiring my work, you're one hell of a canvas." You thread a hand through his hair, removing the hair clips. His bangs flow back where they were.
Jinwoo rises from your chair. His hand never letting go of yours, nor does he break his gaze.
"Paint me again sometime, yeah?"

wmmap; breaking down claude's trauma and how it created a neglectful father
for the longest time, this fandom biggest gripe about Claude is about how he's being an absent father to Athy throughout her childhood.
In the webtoon, spoon changes the plot from the second season instead of following the original novel. Which imo was a decision to explore Claude's trauma and his relationship with Athy better.
Both Claude and Athy overcoming their family trauma together is what I think the true message of wwmap is about (even though I understand Lucas and Ijikiel are great eye-candy ikemen)
A lot of Claude's trauma really only makes sense after we get the backstory about Claude towards the end of his series
Initially, his trauma doesn't really click. Near the beginning of the series, we find out about the relationship between Claude and Diana. I mostly think this answers the question that Athy raises about whether Claude truly loved Diana after seeing the portrait of his ex-fiance, Penelope.
Again, Athy is misleading us, the audience, because she can be an unreliable narrator, especially in the early chapters (here if you want to read more)
Athy at this point, believes that all his neglect so far is because he doesn't love her or her mother, Diana. That his heart still lies with his former fiancée,
Which makes sense to her, because why else would he treat her so terribly, if he didn't love her mother and, by extension, herself?
but then athy collapses and sees the memory before she was born between them
So now it gets confusing, because clearly Claude had some sort of feelings for Diana. Athy realizes she wasn't a product of a one-night fling but he still clearly doesn't love her, even though he loved her mother, Diana.
She doesn't quite understand their relationship quite yet, but it's clear to her that Claude has some complications about Diana because of her birth even though he loved Diana before she got pregnant.
The only thing that is clear to her is that he doesn't love her right now. It's a firm belief she carries on with her all the way up to season 3, even though it's quite obvious to us by then that it wasn't true.
but here's the thing, Claude's reason for not being to love Athy was far more deeply rooted than just because Athy was the cause of Diana's death
Claude's trauma is about family and betrayal. Specifically, no one ever chose him.
Let's explore this by chronological order, first is Anastacius
In his childhood, his only family besides his sickly mother was Anastacius. Anastacius always cared for Claude in their childhood; in response to that, Claude relied on him a lot
Anastacius was the only person in his life who cared for him in his childhood.
The first betrayal was when Anastacius chose the throne over Claude.
Of course, we now know that Anastacius had his reasons and was led astray by Aeternitas. However, Claude doesn't find out about this until much later and lived with the belief that blood relations mean nothing in the royal family.
Then what about found family?
Penelope was the first person aside from Claude that he opened up to, but was later the second betrayal that he had to experience in his life because Penelope chose Anastacius over him.
In a way, she also chose the throne. She wanted to elevate her status and believed Anastacius was the right person for that. Do I think she could've chosen Claude if he were next in line for the crown? Yes, absolutely.
So that portrait in the office we see was never about longing or love. It was a reminder of his trauma and to not trust others again.
To Claude, the third "betrayal" was Diana.
After all that childhood trauma, he finally found love and could live a happy life again instead of being miserable prior to meeting Diana.
After all this, it reconstructs the scene earlier when Diana is dying from her pregnancy.
"Don't leave. Choose me, instead of the child that's eating at your life as we speak."
Diana's choice of giving birth to Athy and instead of choosing to live with him, which sounds insane, because she never chose Athy over Claude. This was always between her and Athy, Claude has nothing to do with this.
In her eyes, she loved Athy so much that she was willing to lay down her life for Athy to come into the world, but that's not how Claude sees it. Claude thinks this is all about him. Between him and unborn Athy and Athy ultimately won.
Which was the last straw that broke the camel's back because Claude was never anyone's first choice, he wasn't Penelope's and he wasn't his brother Anastacius' first choice either. They chose the throne over him; they both chose power, and when he finally thought he could let someone else in again, it was Diana, and in his eyes, he lost yet again, this time to Athy. He was so traumatized and scarred that he chose to turn to black magic and erase Diana from his memories, because to him it was easier to live that way.
So back to the question about Claude being a bad father. Was he a neglectful father? Unfortunately yes.
but this fandom doesn't really see it past that, the whole reason he couldn't see her was because he wasn't able to separate his trauma from Athy for the first 5 years of her life. He was struggling to separate his own trauma the whole time, and even after they met in season 1.
To me, this scene was the epitome of that struggle. He's still struggling with his trauma with the unhealthy urge to kill Athy, but he's starting to recognise her as an individual and loves her for it.
His trauma really severly worsened and cemented after Diana's death, she really helped him get past a lot of it, and I say this because of the scene where Claude finds out she's pregnant with Athy and he does this
god damn the pure joy when he finds out they were going to have a kid hurts me.
Like Diana single-handedly wiped away all that trauma he had with Anastacius, his experience with his own brother made him reject family ties from blood relationships.
But clearly, this is not the face someone would make if they were pessimistic about building a family.
To me, Claude indeed had his shortcomings about Athy in their childhood, but clearly not without reason. Should we really fault someone so much because of their trauma? I think we fail to recognise that Claude was incredibly broken and traumatised there's clearly something so much more tragic beneath his character than just an absent father
ok anyway that's it for this ted talk, I will probably make another one about how he overcomes it with his relationship with Athy!

“What’s happening with Hathor?”
The gods turned at the new voice, and some faces showed displeasure at seeing the latest addition to the room. Seth raised an eyebrow at their reactions, while Sekhmet smiled widely, ready to provide answers.
“Apparently, her daughter is causing trouble,” she said with malicious laughter.
“Since when does she have descendants? Who among you was it?” he asked, slightly aggressive due to the confusion.
“None,” Maat sighed, crossing her arms. “She had an affair some time ago and...”
Seth made a sound indicating his opinion on how foolish it was for her to end up pregnant, then watched them with suspicion, wondering if this had been a secret kept just from him.
“What did she do to make Hathor run through the halls in tears?”
“She was born with her mother’s beauty. She enjoys dancing and travels with a troupe to different cities for performances, but her appearance is drawing quite a lot of attention,” Bastet explained.
“Seriously, the problem is that she has too many suitors?” he scoffed.
“It’s more than that; some are deities who are starting to fight and cause chaos,” Maat said, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. “We asked Hathor to impose order and demand that her daughter act according to her divine title, but...”
“Divine? Did her daughter ascend?” he asked, less sympathetically.
“She is the Goddess of Precious Stones and Metals. Everything we use was crafted by her,” Thoth said, pointing to the impressive necklace he wore.
Isis smiled with mockery, but Seth dismissed the situation as a waste of time and left the place, heading to his temple. Upon arrival, contrary to what he had said, he ordered his most loyal servants to find the young woman who captivated everyone. However, the information didn’t arrive until several months later, and by then, any interest had faded.
Still, Hathor didn’t hesitate to confront him when she learned he knew her precious daughter was coming to the city. Nervous and agitated, it only encouraged the man to dismiss her concerns even more.
“Don’t mess with my baby! I’ll deal with the suitors, erase every trace of affection, and nothing will happen!” she growled, frowning.
“Now you choose to act? Battles and conflicts have arisen because of her, and that’s my territory.”
“She’s the victim, don’t blame her! If you do anything...”
“What?” Seth raised an eyebrow, a challenging smile on his face. “Do you think you can stand up to me?”
Hathor turned crimson, her violet eyes' pupils becoming vertical slits, her aura extremely threatening.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to destroy you if you interfere with her. I don’t care if I have to alter the feelings of every living being to have them protect her and turn against you,” she declared, sparks flying from the tips of her fingers. Then she turned and left the hall.
“Since when does she dare to speak to me like that?” he muttered angrily, tapping his nails against the throne he occupied.
Choosing to go regardless of the circumstances, he instructed them to prepare less conspicuous clothing and to cover his red hair well to remain unnoticed. Wrapped in linen, he set out at dusk for the designated area, frowning at the large number of people already occupying the front rows.
“Sir, please come this way,” a young woman with fine jewelry and a broad smile announced.
“Don’t touch me,” he growled as she grasped his arm.
“Please, I have instructions from the lead interpreter to take you to the front row,” she explained, maintaining her charm.
Seth squinted and moved forward, noticing that several mortals dressed like her were organizing the spectators. Both women and men watched him pass by, curious about who he was as they were led to more favorable spots. When he stopped, they led him to a cushioned area just a few meters from the makeshift stage.
As the sun set, torches were lit, and the musicians settled into their places, quietly chatting among themselves. It took some time before the performance began, and after a while, a man finally welcomed the audience and announced the start of the show. The first to perform were a mixed group dancing in pairs or small ensembles before breaking formation to interact with the audience. Seth admired the performance, wondering where they had found so many beautiful and talented people, while the crowd laughed and applauded at the artists’ infectious enthusiasm.
Minutes passed in a different activity for him, the final act arriving as a curtain was lifted to reveal several female silhouettes that captured everyone’s attention. A different rhythm began to play, and the fabric was released by the men holding it on ladders. Nine women showed their backs, with one standing out at the tip of the V formation. Gradually, they turned, and finally, the face of the girl Seth had come to see appeared, his mouth slightly open in awe.
With a confident and seductive smile, and lips as red as rubies, the goddess lifted her eyelids to reveal dark purple irises, with long lashes inherited from her mother. She walked slowly as the other women scattered across the stage. In perfect synchronization, they began their choreography with incredible flair. Crystals and golden beads intertwined and flew through the air as they twirled, the decorations sparkling as brightly as she did, leaving the audience breathless.
Seth’s red eyes followed every movement, admiring the curves that swayed with mischievous grace. Ignored until she decided to get closer to the prime spot, she crouched with a predatory air and crept to the edge of the platform, supporting herself on her hands and knees. The crowd cheered excitedly as she maintained eye contact, rising at one point and slowly swaying her hips. She traced her legs, thighs, waist, and neck in an extremely sensual display before turning and calling one of the men dancing nearby.
Euphoria erupted at the potential of what might happen, with Seth grinding his teeth and watching almost without blinking as she placed both hands on the man’s shoulders and began to caress him. He held her and spun her around, recognizing her intentions, and stroked her exposed abdomen while maintaining a challenging gaze toward the god. At this point, due to the heat from the large torches and the dance, she glistened with a light sheen of sweat and had cheeks flushed like beautiful garnets.
"I’ll wait for you," she said, her voice fading into the music and the noise.
Seth read her lips and watched as she threw a bracelet at his feet. Some people tried to reach for it, but he covered it with his hand, glaring at them so intensely that they backed off.
Once the event ended, he decided to wait for a signal. Suddenly, the bracelet began to heat up, pulling him with an unseen force in a specific direction. He let it guide him through a couple of crowded streets before turning into an alley, where the woman awaited, leaning against a wall and inspecting her nails.
"I learned of your existence only recently, unlike the rest," he remarked with a hint of reproach.
"It’s understandable. From what I’ve been told, your temper is rather volatile and aggressive," she said, shrugging as if it didn’t matter much. "What brings you here?" she asked, tilting her head and closing the distance between them, but soon found herself trapped as sand coiled around her legs.
"As the God of War and the Desert, I’ve come to deal with the trouble you’re causing with your suitors."
She averted her gaze and rolled her eyes silently, prompting Seth to issue a warning sound that forced her to speak.
"Do you have somewhere more private?"
Seth narrowed his eyes, considering the question before grabbing her by the arm and vanishing in a whirlwind.
"This is…" she hesitated, looking around.
"My temple," he finished, shedding the unnecessary linen, letting his red hair fall freely over his shoulders.
"Wow," she murmured, gently touching a strand. "I could make so many things to enhance this color. It’s so beautiful..."
Seth grabbed her wrist high in warning, allowing her to smile and lick his hand without breaking eye contact.
"Careful, or I’ll cut out your tongue."
She snorted, pulling free and turning her back to him, elegantly walking toward the massive stairs leading to the main building. The jewels and gemstone threads hanging from her chimed harmoniously with each step, glowing brighter as she neared the torches.
"It’s huge. I wouldn’t mind spending a few weeks here," she teased, brushing a wall with her fingers.
Seth followed at a measured distance, his eyes tracking her every move, taking in everything she was. Since he first saw her, an unfamiliar, overwhelming need had been growing inside him, frustratingly hard to ignore.
"Did I offer for you to stay?"
"Don’t you want me to? I’m good company," she turned, walking backward. "Why do you think those who know me fight over having me?" she winked.
"Sex."
"If that’s all, why don’t they forget me when I leave? What makes them cling so tightly?" she slowed her pace, drawing closer. "You saw it tonight—the crowd gets excited just watching me... Even you."
Seth clenched his teeth in frustration, and she stuck her tongue out teasingly.
“Do you have your mother’s permission to be mingling with gods?”
“I haven’t needed her approval in centuries,” she laughed. “I told her today I’d try to avoid causing chaos. Who knows, maybe getting close to the God of War is the solution.”
“You’ll be more trouble than pleasure.”
Her laugh rang out at that, before she pretended to ponder deeply.
“Do you have musicians? Maybe a private dance would change your mind.”
“We have matters to settle first,” he replied indifferently, though she knew a little push would make him fall. “What’s your name?”
"I'll tell you depending on what you decide after my dance."
He clenched his jaw, hating the carefree tone in her voice and the mischievous glint in her eyes. The constant smile was unnerving, making it seem like she was the one in control.
"Why do you live like a nomad, performing shows?"
"Mortal or immortal, every being is born with a family they can cherish—or not. My mother is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me, and she'll always have a place in my heart. But the rest doesn’t really matter much. I met people who share my interests, people I enjoy spending my days with. They trust me, and I trust them, so I chose them," she explained, a new air surrounding her. "I won't leave that caravan, not when everyone I care about has an expiration date."
"You have feelings unbefitting of a deity."
"What is a god without humanity? If you don’t understand the people you’re meant to protect, represent, and serve, how can you be an empathetic and respectable ruler?" she asked, her eyes filled with pure seriousness. "I know I’ll never rule Egypt, but that doesn’t make me indifferent to those who pray to me."
"By the way you speak, I have no doubt you’re close to Osiris and Isis."
"Well thought out, both had a big hand in raising me," she responded, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to one hip.
"Whatever," he mimicked her stance, looking her up and down. "Are you incapable of ordering your lovers to stop fighting over you?"
"Most haven’t even managed to lay a finger on me; they fight purely for the desire to do so. I’ve intervened, but the one who really should be stepping up here is Nephthys and encouraging peace."
"I don't question that. They should’ve turned to her from the start."
"She’s your sister. If she doesn’t act, you could ask her."
"Who do you think I am, a messenger?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Wow," she sighed, tilting her head. "So what now, we sleep together and let the rumor spread to scare the gods?"
"You’re really persistent. Do you want me that badly?" He clicked his tongue, grinning smugly.
The question drew a dry laugh from her as she stepped closer.
"I won’t deny you’re incredibly attractive, but even before you showed up at the performance, I knew I was in the mood for some fun tonight. If you don’t join me, I’ll find someone else to satisfy me."
Seth exhaled and held her gaze, his heart racing as he fought the urge to look away, feeling as if she were pulling him closer to the edge of a cliff.
"I believe you promised to dance and change my mind, didn’t you?"
"Finally, we’re getting to the important part," she said, pleased, taking a step back. "Lead me to your musicians."
Without delay, he took the lead and left her waiting outside as he entered a room. From the corridor, she could hear the hurried greetings of men and women as they scrambled to follow his commands, a few accidental notes sounding in the shuffle. A considerable line of people soon filed out, their eyes widening as they caught sight of her. She smiled, reveling in the way some let their jaws drop in astonishment.Seth exhaled and held her gaze, his heart racing as he fought the urge to look away, feeling as if she were pulling him closer to the edge of a cliff.

“What’s keeping you all busy?” Seth asked from the back, his voice causing everyone to snap out of their stupor and hasten their movements.
"If you decide not to have sex with me, I’m glad to know I won’t have to look far for another partner."
He shot her a sidelong glance, gritted his teeth, and then tossed his hair back.
"Let’s go."
They walked calmly, with Seth entering first into a vast room where a massive mattress lay nearly at floor level. Posts with large curtains were arranged to shield the bed from view, while four attendants lit incense and prepared alcohol.
"Release the side curtains."
Another small group hurried to comply, loosening the ties and leaving only one section uncovered.
"Interesting," the goddess remarked, taking a few steps around the room.
The musicians arranged their instruments and took positions concealed by heavy drapes, their role clearly to observe the guest.
"Prepare as you wish," Seth said with an indifferent gesture before heading to the bed and reclining against a large mound of pillows.
Two women approached with golden goblets filled with wine, which both accepted before the temple owner instructed them to leave.
As she drank calmly, she approached the musicians to discuss her preferences. They exchanged opinions and reached an agreement on how to proceed. Satisfied with the outcome, she moved several meters from the bed and took her place directly in front of the open section.
“Ready?” she asked.
“Are you?” he replied, raising an eyebrow as the incense began to fill the room.
Winking, she emptied his glass in one gulp and raised it in the air. At this signal, the musicians began to play as she turned her back to him, keeping her arm extended above her head.
As she swayed her hips slowly, the gold she wore started to melt and reshape. It dripped down her arm, first forming a small head and then an elongated body. The newly formed snake coiled and descended to rest around her neck. With both hands on the sensitive area, she turned slowly and smiled with her eyes closed, letting herself be carried away by the music. She caressed her collarbones and shoulders before extending her arms, while the serpentine creation moved across her chest and encircled her. Suddenly, a piece of fabric fell away, revealing a breast.
As if nothing had happened, she continued her dance, the metal caressing and embracing every part of her body as it descended. Her adorned wrists and fingers skimmed her skin and created perfect movements in the air, captivating the onlookers who held their breath as the serpent approached the garment covering her most intimate area.
Unperturbed, she turned and placed both hands on the back of her legs, carefully lifting a bit of the fabric. The serpent coiled one of its segments around her thigh to keep her hand in place, taking advantage of the opportunity to slither beneath her skirt.
A murmur rose from the left side, and the woman glanced over her shoulder to see Seth’s unblinking gaze, though one of his eyebrows twitched involuntarily at a comment she couldn't quite decipher. With a smile, she arched her back and bent her body backward, her free fingers caressing from her abdomen up to the exposed breast, squeezing it with delight.
The serpent gradually released her, and she turned to show how it emerged from the front, starting to rise and drag the fabric up to the edge of revealing her inner thigh. However, she made sure not to expose too much, guiding it to change direction slightly. She pivoted on one foot, preparing for the imminent drumbeat, and at that moment, she fell to her knees with her hands extended and her hair cascading forward.
She slowly straightened up, and the musicians adjusted their rhythm to match her movements. Seated in a W shape with her legs apart, she locked eyes with Seth and felt the intense heat from his red gaze, which made her smile. She then turned her attention to one of the women who had earlier caught her eye. Attractive and alluring, the woman was a tempting prospect if Seth chose to let her go. In an instant, the protagonist contemplated how to seduce her, but the god’s voice interrupted her thoughts.
Everyone snapped out of their trance and ceased their actions, the musicians hurriedly gathering their instruments and leaving the room. Within minutes, they were alone, and she approached the foot of the bed, tilting her head with curiosity.
“Didn’t you like the performance?”
Seth took a deep breath, finished his wine, and threw the glass off the bed with a loud clink. He adjusted himself and gestured with his index finger, signaling her to come closer. She smiled and took a few steps onto the bed, getting on all fours and crawling towards him until she was on top. The serpent, curious, slithered over the red-haired man’s body as they locked eyes.
“It was disrespectful of you to look at someone else when you should have been trying to convince me.”
“Is that why you cut off the dance? I was just assessing the best option in case you decided to pass on such an incredible opportunity,” she defended herself, moving closer until their faces were only a few centimeters apart. “So, what’s your answer?”
After a moment of silence, he placed his right hand on her head to close the distance. Their lips met and quickly intertwined, his feeling incredibly soft mixed with the aroma of the wine they had drunk.
"When you decided to meet me, had you planned this?" she asked as he pulled away, his hand caressing the small of her back.
"You’re the first descendant of Hathor, and she had hidden you from me jealously. It was just curiosity," she replied. "And you? Why did you give me the bracelet?"
"Isn’t it obvious? You captivated me the moment I saw you. I definitely wanted us to share a bed."
Seth flashed a small sidelong smile and brushed her hair back, the intertwined lines of gems shining in his hand as he gathered it.
“What’s your name?” he asked, even more dazzled by her incredible appearance up close.
She smiled and tilted her head towards one of the curtains, as if deciding whether to reveal the information. Finally, she turned back and kissed the palm resting on her cheek.
“Habibah, which means ‘the one who is loved,’” she confessed, with a look of complicity.
“Your mother really knew what she was doing, because that’s how everyone seems to feel when they meet you.”
“Even the God of War and the Desert?”
“I’m not like the others. Do you think you can make me feel the same way?” he said with a touch of challenge, but sounding more like an invitation to continue what they had started.
Accepting the challenge and everything it implied, she kissed him deeply, her tongue exploring his. Seth caressed her warm skin and then pressed down, aligning their bodies so that she could feel his erection. Without hesitation, she began to move her hips, and he let out a pleased sigh, his hands finding their way to her waist.
Habibah ran a hand through his red hair and descended slowly, tracing her way down his chest until she focused on one of his nipples. Seth gritted his teeth, undid the clasp of the upper fabric, and started to caress what was within reach, instructing her to lie down.
Without hesitation, she moved a few pillows and settled against the soft mattress, watching as the serpent coiled around the man’s arm like a perfect and beautiful accessory. He barely noticed the gold, focusing instead on returning her affections. Habibah closed her eyes and took a deep breath as his lips arrived at her breasts. She caressed his shoulders and back, lightly scratching as she felt him burning like the desert under the sun.
The incense began to take effect, lightening their minds and giving way to an intense desire that drove them to hold each other with urgency. Their hips searched for each other frantically, moaning against one another in broken kisses, their legs and arms entwined in a connection with no clear beginning or end.
Habibah slipped a hand between them, urgently seeking his erection, which she attended to with skillful movements until she lifted the fabric that covered his intimacy. Seth created some distance and propped himself on his knees, removing the minimal clothing and setting it aside before focusing on her. Completely naked and adorned only with jewelry, she settled herself as he took her legs and dragged her over his thighs. The movement elicited a small surprised sound from Habibah, and he watched her expectantly while caressing the outer side of her legs.
“Do it,” she encouraged, brushing his stomach with a hand.
Seth tightened his grip, leaving momentary marks before releasing her and taking his erection. With a single movement, he inserted the tip and then thrust in a steady rhythm until he reached the deepest point. Both moaned, and the woman arched her back with a wide smile while pulling the sheets.
“You’re incredibly wet,” he growled, his cheeks flushed with satisfaction.
“You say that as if it’s something strange. Don’t women get excited with you?”
She shivered with excitement and pleasure as a sharp, red gaze emerged among the fiery hair. The intense tickling sensation made her laugh with delight until she nearly screamed as he began to thrust forcefully. Breathless, she tried to steady herself amidst the sounds of raw impact, the heat and pleasure spreading like waves from the center of her body to every corner.
"You shouldn’t be competing with the God of War," he said with a proud expression.
"I don’t mind losing," she replied honestly, though she knew it would only fuel the fire further.
Seth narrowed his eyes but soon regained his composure, placing his hands on the mattress with a feigned calm as she wrapped her legs around his body. She swayed her hips, feeling his member pressing down, and he resumed the movement with great force after a hiss. Habibah pulled him towards her by the nape to kiss him, shivering as his tongue entered and took control. The thrusts were relentless, with a stamina reminiscent of someone who had fought countless battles to defend Egypt.
With tearful eyes, she admired the man moving above her, pushing aside her strands of hair to see him better, noticing the earrings that moved violently in sync with their owner.
"I’ll make you some prettier ones," she said, brushing against the fine, rectangular gold plate.
"How can you think of that in the middle of sex?"
"Maybe you should try harder," she pressed, noticing how the atmosphere shifted in the blink of an eye.
The room fell silent, and Habibah's skin tingled as she realized she had made a mistake.
"Turn around," he commanded as he withdrew from her, not waiting for her to move and grabbing her by the arm to start repositioning her.
Any doubt vanished when she lost her breath again, feeling Seth penetrate her abruptly and hold her by the neck with considerable force. She was left gasping for air and tried to grab his wrist, but the sand made her hands stick to the bed.
"Such behavior with someone who was born long before you is very inappropriate," he growled, his abs tensing as he gradually adjusted the angle to graze the spot that would drive her wild. "Talking less and learning would do you a lot of good."
Involuntarily, Habibah’s eyes rolled back as he found her most sensitive area, her legs wanting to give out but unable to do so due to the force with which he held her.
“Se… th…” she called, her muscles trembling in a way she had never experienced before.
“Hmm?” he asked, loosening his grip.
A bit of awareness returned to her as she tried to ask for a breath amidst the perfect administrations. However, Seth increased his effort, making it impossible for her to speak.
Cursing inwardly, she let her head drop as moisture dripped down her thighs, slightly staining the sheets. Seth held her by the hips for added stability and wrapped sand around her neck, the itching heightening the effects of pleasure and strangulation. Any cries and moans were muffled or cut off, with only a few gasps escaping as he breathed heavily and occasionally growled in deep satisfaction.
Struggling to swallow and relishing the challenge, Habibah briefly focused and set the serpent in motion. The god's hips lost their rhythm, and she glanced over her shoulder to see the golden creature firmly wrapped around the redhead's throat.
“T-Two…” she tried to say, and he deliberately loosened his grip. “Two can play… this game,” she smiled proudly, though she soon rolled her eyes and propped herself up on her elbows.
He breathed heavily, the metal not yielding in the slightest and intensifying his own sensations.
“I knew you’d be a pain if I brought you to the temple,” he growled, his brow furrowed.
Habibah tried to laugh, but a strange sound escaped as she felt the onset of her orgasm.
“But I… I also give you pleasure,” she defended, feeling her lungs burn and forcing the gold to make him suffer the same way she did.
A desperate, frustrated groan escaped from the man, who felt the constriction sending electric waves to his erection. He clenched his jaw and threw his head back, pushing into her with renewed urgency to provoke the impending climax.
Both seemed to have lost control of their consciousness and bodies as they moved, overwhelmed by the need to escape the pleasure consuming them. They were on the brink of fainting, allowing brief moments of calm before their necks were swiftly constricted again.
Habibah's spasms intensified, reaching a climax that opened a new world of pleasure. Her legs trembled uncontrollably, making lascivious sounds as the moisture increased significantly with the release. The pressure of her walls became too much for Seth to bear, and the stimulation pushed him to his limit, culminating inside her. He trembled and groaned loudly, delivering the final thrusts with some difficulty until the stimulation became overwhelming and he stopped.
Both the metal and the sand loosened, and they both breathed heavily, their eyelids drooping as they collapsed onto the mattress, savoring the comfort. Habibah, lying face down, slowly turned to look at the man, who had one arm draped over his forehead as he steadied himself. He looked just as beautiful, if not more so, with an enviable profile and eye and hair color that she would love to highlight with various creations.
“That was good,” the young woman sighed, stretching her arms.
Seth watched her, unknowingly mimicking her movements, silently admiring the beauty that had captivated him at a single glance. They chatted a bit and decided that this would be the only round, though their mouths didn't escape some additional entanglements until they surrendered to sleep.
When the sun was high, the god cracked open his eyes and, groggy, took a few minutes to become aware of his surroundings. Floral scents filled the air, none of which were familiar, so he looked around and noticed Habibah’s absence. Frowning, he sat up, ready to get up and find out if she had left, but then he heard a noise in the room and, cautiously, drew back the curtains.
Facing away from the window, the goddess examined herself in the mirror as she applied a type of oil to her face. Her hair was wet and slicked back, the sunlight streaming in and drying it quickly. She was visibly focused and didn't realize that Seth had awakened until his bare feet made a soft noise on the floor.
“Good morning,” Habibah smiled as she applied perfume.
“I see you found the bathrooms.”
“Yes, after the show and our entanglement, I needed to freshen up.”
“I still have the bracelet you threw at me.”
“It’s yours,” she said, looking at the object. “With it, if you ever get bored and miss me, you can find me wherever I am and relive last night,” she winked playfully.
Seth clicked his tongue and looked at the accessory, feeling his stomach churn. The stones sparkled as much as she did in the sun.
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Still, you should be prepared for when my mother sees you wearing something of mine,” she warned, stretching her neck to examine the marks he had left.
“Not much she can do,” he brushed off, placing a hand on his hip. “Are you heading to the caravan?”
“Yes, I need to let them know I’m okay and ready for tonight’s performance.”
“How long will you stay in the city?”
“Until the next full moon.”
They fell silent for a moment, and Seth crossed his arms, looking out the window at the clear sky.
“Stay here.”
“Excuse me?” Habibah raised both eyebrows, admiring his chiseled face.
“During the night, don’t sleep in the caravan. Come here.”
“Every night?” she asked, surprised.
Seth nodded, and she blinked, perplexed, but then gave a quick affirmative gesture.
“I would love to, thank you.”
“I’ll go take a bath. Do as you wish in the temple.”
“Are problems included?” she asked mischievously, and he tilted his head.
“No.”
“But…”
“If so, I’ll punish you.”
“Somehow, that sounds very promising. Maybe you should give me a lesson,” she laughed, playful and seductive.
“I’ve just gotten up,” he said with a yawn, still feeling the remnants of the previous night. “We’ll catch up later.”
“Of course, I’ll make sure to say goodbye before I leave.”
As she watched his back, Habibah dropped any pretense and smiled slyly, knowing that the man was falling for her. He wasn’t different from any other human or deity, but Seth was undoubtedly the one she truly desired, and she would give him everything if he surrendered at her feet.

evil superman variants just fit so well with villainess manwha's and this is my post yapping about it
Injustice!Clark in my mind is so akin to Claude from who made me a princess. They basically have the same story lmao but I also think that while he obviously IS very wrong about 90% of the time he still will eventually get to a semi healthy relationship with you. (Everyone is soo glossing over the fact he did not want you, almost ordering your death multiple times)
Ultraman is sooo terrible to the same extent as Roxanne's father in how to protect the heroines older brother. With you being the only child of his that does not have to go through all the trials the other are subject to. But that does not mean you are fully hidden to the truth of your family... He will def be torturing anyone (even your siblings) in front of you.
Justice Lord superman is my crossroads point like plot wise I can easily see him fitting into some tyrant father storylines. but its a little boring and doesn't fulfil the full potential of his insane behavior. So my heart leans more into him being like Andrim in Doku wo Kurawaba Sara Made (BL but the plot is soooo good) or Regis in Father I don't want this marriage. discovering he has a villain/ess child, makes his behavior even more undeniable as if to shield you. hopefully you never try to go against him or there will be a series of events against any friends you may have...
