Bibliotherapy relies on using reading for therapy and healing. It doesn’t replace treatment or medications but rather acts as a complement. During lockdown many people young and old have gone back to doing a little regular reading and I’ve noticed a change in shift and a little positivity in the lives of hundreds who have been stuck at home for ten months. Thanks to friends and establishments like the Barking Learning Centre I’ve been able to meet and make friends with hundreds of people, strangely during a pandemic and national lockdown. Today, I picked up novels and also some really nice Urdu and Tamil literature to share in the neighbourhood. Books have been flying at the local #homeless hostel. I’m really excited to be working with Zoinul Abidin and also The British Library on some fantastic upcoming projects. #bookbikelondon is powered by goodwill and smiles. #nationallockdown #booksandbikes #theanfieldtourist #thewanderinglondoner #reas #reading #readersofinstagram #readmorebooks #readingtime #readersofig #readingchallenge #reads #epicreads #readsalot #shereadstruth #readshine #diversereads #fridayreads #newreads #cycle #cyclist #cyclingshots #cyclingphotos #cyclingshots #pedal #speed #fixiebike #fixedspeed #singlespeed (at Barking Learning Centre) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKXPVYZhJAk/?igshid=44syxgfhfuaz
