One of my OC's and their lore:
@scarletteart1, @lofie607
I'm thinking about writing a book and I'll write about the books lore in another post, and she would be/be one of the main characters if and when I write it.
Navee Ferrier~
She's a 17 year old girl, who grew up in downtown Chicago(?) and she has a twin sister Emily Ferrier.
Childhood and young life/ backstory: Her name, Navee, was picked by her father, while her sister was named by their mother. Their mother wanted her daughters to be graceful, elegant and ladylike, beautiful in every way, so she chose Emily, which sounded sweet and delicate to her. Their father, however, always wanted a son, so he wanted at least one of his girls to be strong, tough, masculine, basically the son he never had. So he chose Navee, like Navy, but their mother insisted on the spelling being at least somewhat pretty. When they were really little, their parents weren't so bad. They weren't ideal though. They parented the girls almost separately. They all lived together and their mother cooked for them all, and their father drove both of them, but Emily was almost solely parented by their mother, while Navee was mostly parented by their father, aside from whole family activities. Despite that, they were always really close. Emily was raised with impossible beauty standards but her mother was loving enough, and she got spoiled belonging wise. Navee was raised as if she were a boy basically, with mens clothes and doing more typically 'masculine' activities and sports. When they were 8, their mother had a mental breakdown because she was losing her appearance and she totally lost it and ended up in a mental hospital for a 72 hour hold and after that she was just generally unstable. Their dad resorted to drinking because of this, and unluckily for the Ferrier sisters, he was an angry drunk. Navee took most of the beatings, not for any reason other than she chose to guard Emily from their fathers fists. She was raised as if she were Emily's brother and it had always been expected of her to protect Emily, and it stuck. Because of this, she suffered all the physical abuse, while Emily and her both endured the emotional abuse together.
CPS was called when the girls were 10 and had been found by the neighbors sleeping on the sidewalk by their house because their parents were having a huge fight and there was screaming and things breaking and being thrown and fists were flying. They bounced around foster care for a few years before getting adopted by a wealthy family in Wyoming at age 12. Their adoptive parents were very kind to both girls and treated them well, and were never abusive in any form. But they were always closer with Emily, and at times it seemed like they all knew something and were in on something that Navee wasn't, but she convinced herself it was just paranoia. Emily ended up with a good amount of friends and she started dating kinda young, and she does soccer. Navee on the other hand wasn't very quick to make friends and had a lot harder of a time adjusting. She did make a couple friends by the time she started high school though, and she started doing basketball and volleyball.
Lore lore/aka the shit that went down that the book will be about: In her sophomore year, at 15, their was this huge virus scare. The government sent a ton of their doctors/scientists out to all the schools in the USA to give the kids vaccinations and physicals, as well as testing them for the virus, kids with the virus were transported to the hospital for emergency quarantine. Or at least, that's what they were told. It seemed weird to Navee, because all of the kids, including herself, who were infected and moved out to the vans, were the healthiest seeming kids in school. The kids who played sports and were active, the kids with good medical history, the ones who got frequent check ups and always passed, the kids who never seemed anything but healthy and active. Navee didn't realize until the gas filled the back of the van and the kids around her started passing out, that maybe she should've listened to that instinct and ran. But she didn't dwell on it too long before the gas got her too, and she fell limp against the boy beside her. No more spoilers because i've heard about people having their plots stolen and because I gotta leave some mystery.
Her appearance/basically just what she looks like and shit: I know in the edit I made (https://www.tumblr.com/gigglemeshiggles/807305474456322048/edit-i-made-of-my-oc-let-me-know-what-yall?source=share, here's a link to said edit) she had a blind eye, tattoos and piercings, which she will, just not yet, that was more of a grown up her, kind of like, in the middle of towards the end of the story. At this point in time, at fifteen, she doesn't yet. Navee has really dark hair, raven hair. It's pretty long, it goes just above her waist and it's pretty wavy, it's also really thick. She has tan brown skin (Hispanic baddie) and she's got really, really dark eyes that could pass for black. She has a good amount of muscle. I'm taking biceps, six pack abs, thick thighs to save lives, typa shit. She plays sports, she works out and most of her childhood was spent outside working or doing something with her dad/protecting Emily so she gonna be strong. She also took after her dad looks wise, and that includes height. Her dad was a tall guy, he was 6'1. Navee is 5'9, which is tall for a girl, and in my personal experience, tall for a guy too. She's got broad-ish shoulders but not too broad, and she's got decently wide hips, this girl would be an amazing belly dancer or just dancer in general just becuse of her strength and body type, in my opinion. She has thick eyebrows and eyelashes. She's got fat lips, they are pink, round and fat and I love 'em. She has high cheekbones, a really defined jawline and just generally sharp features. She has point canines, they're like mini fangs. She has a decent amount of scars from her dad, being a rough and tumble type of kid, and also she was a very impulsive child and pretty clumsy which got her into a lot of trouble. She grew out of her impulsivity, hyper nature and impulsive behavior after their parents got bad and stuff, because trauma changes you.
Personality: As a kid, like I said, she was very impulsive. She acted first, thought later. She was extremely hyper, she always had a shit ton of energy and she was just bouncing off the walls, which was usually channeled into yard work, sports or wrestling with kids in her neighborhood or her dad. She had zero brain to mouth filter which got her in a butt load of trouble in elementary school. But a lot of that changed when their mom had her breakdown and her father started drinking and hitting her. She became much more of an introvert. She still likes chatting and people but her trust is broken and she's always paranoid and waiting so she never feels comfortable enough to do so. She does really well in school because she's a good listener and she processes things quickly. She seems outwardly like the lner type, but she really does love company she just doesn't know how to be human anymore it feels like to her. She gets along well with her teammates in basketball and volleyball. She's hyper independent because she's scared that if she lets people take care of her or gets used to it, they'll just break apart and hurt her like her parents did. She also never lets her guard down and she feels like it's her job to be strong for Emily and to take care of her. Emily is more emotional than her, not as strong, doesn't know how to be hyper independent, because of Navee's protection and because of their mothers coddling. Navee took it up on herself to basically parent her twin sister. She emotionally supports her, defends and protects her with everything she has, sacrifices herself for Emily. Another thing about her, is that Navee is very confrontational. If she has a problem, you best believe she says it. If you wanna fight, shell fight and she'll fuck you up. She's not afraid to say her opinions and make her stances very clear. If she doesn't like you or you piss her off, you will know. Outwardly, she's very cold and detached, and inwardly to some extent, but she also has her softness and emotions, not hidden or buried just shielded it, so they won't be exploited or crushed ever again, causing her to seem like an indifferent and angry person when she isn't. She's 100% the quiet kid.
Lemme know what y'all think :)
