THE ME-262B NAZI JET - The Messerschmitt Me-262B Schwalbe ("Swallow") jet fighter (Me-262B-1a, W.Nr.110639 designation: "White 35") on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida. During World War 2, the Nazi Luftwaffe built over 1,400 of these operational jet fighters. Armed with cannons, rockets, and bombs, the Me-262 was the first jet plane to be used in combat (1942-45).
