Lilia has known since they were about 20 (they're prolly s couple 100-1000 years old) that they were nb. They didn't really have a journey it's just always been that way, and when malleus singed their hair, they just went, "I can work with this

Ortho wasn't really programmed with pronouns, idia thought it was unnecessary

Jamil only knew he was nb recently, and I mean since he got into nrc recent. Just purely because he didn't know that was an option. But ever since he figured it out hid bfs and najma have been nothing but supportive.

!!!!! i just got done writing Nb Angel Headcanons 👀 i kinda bounce between ftm angel and genderfluid angel as far as headcanons go but my fav nb angel hc is angel kinda flows through being genderless or masc aligned. Usually transmasc but occasionally feminine, fine with any pronouns that aren’t she/her. is attracted to men and masc nb people.

also 👀👀👀 nonbinary alastor is 👌 i Project onto him so i hc he is afab and kinda went “hmmmm....... the concept of partaking in feminine activities or being percieved as female repulses me........ i must be a man!” and Transitioned. then fastfoward to after he dies, he learns from vaggie that nonbinary people exist and kinda goes “oh”.

BUT i also have this hc of amab alastor who doesn’t really know what his gender is (bigender? agender? gender neutral?? who knows!) and is apathetic as far as pronouns/gendered language goes. call him whatever you want as long as you do it with terror in your eyes. but also they/them alastor makes me Big happy

My fav takes on Angel are FTM trans and genderqueer with a preference for he/him pronouns, though he won’t blink at they/them either. I just don’t think he cares about gender presentation at all and just wants to look cute/pretty/sexy, and is very assured in his own masculinity or gender/lack of gender/himself.

I love nonbinary Alastor so MUCH thank you for mentioning this. I also project onto him quite a bit - side-eyes my ASPD and origins/headcanons posts, heh - so I tend to lean towards agender Alastor. Just, doesn’t get it and doesn’t give a single fuck about “gender” or whatever that’s supposed to mean.  He dresses, acts, etc. how he likes because that’s what he likes and there’s nothing more to it.  “Call him whatever you want as long as you do it with terror in your eyes” is the best and most beautiful line I have ever read and I am absolutely stealing it for daily use, thank you.

And yeah, that first al hc also certainly seems very Alastor-ish. He knows the rules of being a proper “gentleman” or “lady” and absolutely did not like the rules for “lady,” so “gentleman” it is. And then some years down the road, someone’s like... hey.. gender only has to mean something if you want it to mean something... or you could just be a different gender altogether, you don’t have to follow outdated societal rules when you do whatever-the-fuck-you-want the rest of the time anyway, and that dusty lightbulb finally flickers on.

I love both of your headcanons and they’re both big moods and your brain is beautiful, you have my utmost thanks for sharing this brilliance (and they/them Alastor also makes me absolutely ecstatic, I admit. I’m constantly tempted to have Al be they/them nb when I’m writing fics.) 

(Also, I really love agender Baxter, though that’s just full on me projecting on the character that stole my aesthetic.)

Queer Headcanon: Ye Zhao

Genderqueer Bisexual Biromantic

The words bisexual are never said in the show, but they also really don’t need to be when Zhao admires pretty girls almost every episode and also definitely fancies her husband.

As for genderqueer, they could get away with calling her general disregard for all gender norms and the way she describes herself as male and female completely interchangeably a habit for like the first 10 episodes. After that... yeah, Zhao is definitely not cis. If anything she seems to regard gender as entirely optional decoration. Sometimes you just want to feel fancy, so you put on a gender. Other times you just want to slob around at home and not have anyone question why you’re wearing a binder and your husband’s clothes.

Ginny first saw Luna as dreamy and weird, but she also thought she was a little cowardly towards others. The more she gets to know Luna, the more and more she realizes how wrong and unfair she was to Luna. It's Luna's bravery in her ability to completely, freely be herself that makes her wonderful and the bravest person Ginny will ever know. It's Luna's freedom, the carefree way she comes out as agender, that first gets Ginny realizing and eventually accepting that she herself bi.
