bioconservative whump 😩
I've been thinking about this specific type of whump scenario.
A whumpee that is bioconservative (meaning, opposing transhumanism and human enhancement, etc) is living in an authoritarian transhumanist system. There is so much potential.
The angst of struggling to find a job because they are not enhanced and if they do find one, they have to work twice as hard to keep it.
Worrying that they may get fired and replaced by an "improved" employee.
Getting a visit from the government, giving them an ultimatum to get enhanced or be thrown into a prison because a new law was passed making enhancements mandatory.
Having to fight against people that are much stronger and faster than them.
Enhanced whumpers hurting them just by grabbing them or shoving them around because they aren't used to handling someone so "fragile".
And of course the absolute bangers that are those tropes:
Being forced to choose between different enhancements by whumper. Literally having to pick the way in which their "naturalness" will be destroyed.
Being kidnapped by whumper, forcefully enhanced and then sent back to their comrades to send a message.
Being forcefully enhanced by whumper and then shown around as a "success story". Or alternatively, enhancement salesperson whumper using whumpee to present different enhancements to their customers.
Just forced enhancements in general.
