Samantha is starting another throwing cycle. Bruce is finishing up glazes a few more pieces and testing out some new materials in his favorite glazes. We will soon be loading a glaze kiln! We decided to take a little more time to test some glazes and have postponed loading for a couple of days.

This tear shaped bud vase is a lovely addition to my puccess stories for this weekends kiln firing. With a final natural wax finish to protect it the surface is soft and supple.

Saggar pottery that has been created my having a custom environment made just for it. It is surrounded in materials that will burn or evaporated and created a smooe filled environment that will be unique to the pot but replicate a much larger pit fire environment. This is often more continued then a single pitfire with more varied results.

Here the materials have combined to create a strong contrast between colors and works well with the mixed media wood.
