you mean the boy who, before being announced as an smrookie in 2015, was scouted doing volunteer work and continues to do it to this day? who debuted in 2016, and for more than a year suffered excruciating back pains because of a herniated disc yet still managed to dance, perform, and use hoverboards in their performances without showing the pain and struggle to fans? who made it through all of chewing gum promotions, but couldn’t participate in mfal or we young era’s while he was undergoing treatment and was barely heard from for almost an entire year? who dropped out of school in middle school so he could focus on idol life, and so had no chance to make friends outside of the group (and other trainees)? who said he missed going to school, missed the opportunity to make lifelong friends but still wouldn’t trade his members for the world? 

the boy who continuously shows fans love and support, who cares about us more than we care about ourselves, who loves his members more than the entire world? who works with unicef and other organizations to provide relief for kids in countries like vietnam, who plays music for them and shows them unadulterated kindness and affection? 

the boy who while in treatment was probably afraid he’d never be able to dance again, never be able to rejoin his friends - his family - in the group they’d trained and sacrificed so much for? 

you mean the boy with the brightest smile in the world that never fails to put your heart at ease, the boy who shamelessly flirts with anyone and everyone and makes them feel special and loved, the boy who drinks an insane amount of coffee that could plausibly kill a person but cut back on the espresso shots because fans were worried, the boy who shrieks at random things and has an arsenal of weapons known as aegyo? the amazing human being who works harder every day to improve his rapping and singing, who is so endearingly extra and infuriates jeno with his soda-pouring, who loves pink, and is the first member of nct as a whole to star in any sort of drama? the sweet, caring, emotional, sarcastic, loving, sometimes reserved angel who puts his heart and soul into his music and everything he does for his fans and his members, his family, everyone?

I was just thinking about it. And man. We truly don't deserve NCT. Like us fans want NCT 2019/Yearbook 2019. But do we even deserve that ? For a little while I know I joined the bandwagon of wanting all the members in one room shooting for yearbook and all. But I was watching last year's yearbook and the views had me questioning everything. We honestly have no damn right asking SM for another yearbook when we couldn't even view last year's yearbooks more than a handful number of times even though it's some high quality stuff. I mean we literally make a fool of ourselves sometimes. They give us soo many things from vlogs to series like Jeno's ASMR, ChenJi This and That, Save NCT Dream, WayV Vlogs, members doing vlive back to back even though they're soo freaking tired and overworked. Yet we fail to give them the views we know they truly deserve ? I understand that we can't always stream 24/7. We all have busy lives. Some of us are studying, some working and some maybe even parents, who knows ? But the least we could do is view their contents at least a couple of times in a month, specially the yearbooks since we all have at some point begged for a 2019 version of it ? C'mon guys, view these masterpieces in your free time or whenever you really can. Let's appreciate them !
