There being a five year gap in between ND33 and ND34 is really confusing to me. I get that money is tight for HeR Interactive, and their CEO clearly cares more about turning the company into a profitable business rather than a crowd/user-funded indie dev studio... but like... where did those fives years go, exactly?
A lot of the assets used in ND34 were reused from ND33. Like all of the ambient NPCs in KEY being models of Frank, Joe, Lauren, Mei, the Judge, etc. wearing different clothes. The visuals were... a minor improvement, but five years of improvement? I don't think so.
The controls weren't exactly smooth. The P&C System was extremely finicky, and the Freeroam mode was typical Unity gliding around bullshit. The puzzles, out the gate, gained a reputation in the community for being improperly balanced and extremely difficult.
I know spitting out 2 games per year isn't sustainable (and even wasn't back in HeR's prime)... but five years for Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys... What the fuck did HeR Interactive spend that time doing, exactly?????
Re-watching the trailer again, and noticed that when the blonde girl is telling Nancy about the suspects and that she should reach out and find out who stole the gems, the only suspects who smile/make any reaction to Nancy other than a blank expression is Radek and Oskar. HMMMMMMMM, these two be lookin' a little sus, dude.

ND 34 Confirmed Video - Hidden In Colours
EDIT: Thank you @naancypants for catching this - turns out it was just the working on the new game message again, you can see the ND logo in the corner. Unfortunately a dead end! :(
I don't know if anyone else has spotted this yet (apart from people I’ve already told), but I was watching Nancy Drew Walkthroughs’ new video about the confirming ND 34 video and in the bits where it fades to colour, there's an image and text hidden in the colours! It's very quick but I got it as clear as I could (still not very clear but I tried)

...I was poking around the Amateur Sleuth blog and—according to LJ—there are plans in the works for ND 34...
...and a recent CNET article quotes Penny as saying that the games will return to a steady release schedule (though certainly not twice a year)...

So before we knew much about KEY, a lot of people played around and made conspiracy theories/fake posts about Hans, and-
I had a thought; Hans is one of our phone contacts, and The Deadly Device proved that a phone contact could be a villain. Is it possible all the suspects we see in the trailer are red herrings and Hans could possibly be the culprit/one of the culprits?
{Plus, he's also in the suspects tab in the trailer when Nancy pulls out her notebook}.
