Nearest Exit
Under my sunburn is cold blood Running away Running into my heart Cold hands can’t stand the winter Warm them with your breath and make me shiver And if you are the first If you are the first to find me frozen Then please don’t be the first Please don’t be the first to think I’m broken And if you are the first If you are the first to find me frozen Then please don’t be the first Please don’t be the first to think I’m broken
Over my head only It’s pouring I’m in over my head but at least I know it Nervous I don’t trust easy But your eyes are kind and I believe it
And if you are the first If you are the first to find me frozen Then please don’t be the first Please don’t be the first to think I’m broken And if you are the first If you are the first to find me frozen Then please don’t be the first Please don’t be the first to think I’m broken
I don’t want roses Or Os and Xs I just want to know You won’t take the nearest exit I don’t want roses Or Os and Xs I just want to know You won’t take the nearest exit
And if you are the one If you are the one to find me frozen Then please don’t be the one Please don’t be the one to think I’m broken
I am so breathy
in tomorrow’s song. I played it in the key I originally wrote it in and thought if I sound like I’m struggling, it’ll add a kind of desperation to it. I almost had a perfect take on the first try. I was so close to the end and my phone went off with a notification.
Sometimes, when we clench our fists, it's not to fight. It's because we have something we are terrified to let go of.
