Things I Do:

Buying Lipstick….. it’s one of THOSE jobs that I only have to do once or twice a year and it drives me crazy!!

The choice is endless; glossy, matte, as a lip gloss, in a pot, twist out or on a stick. There are colours from one end of the spectrum to the other and behind the makeup counter, bright eyed, smiling, blemish free young girls (very young!) who keep coming up to me and asking, “can I help you with anything?” or “do you need a hand choosing a colour?” Ugh, “no thank you” I say, but think to myself ...‘leave me alone!’ 

How can someone else help you choose such a personal thing. And besides it’s tough enough trying to decide on one in private, without trying to do it with someone watching over my shoulder or hovering nearby.

With the back of my hand looking like a Snakes & Ladders board with all the different streaks of colour on it, I soon forget which streak goes with which lipstick :(

Don’t know why but I always end up buying the first one I tried, so why do I bother drawing all over myself with the other ten!
