My students are never as impressed as I am when I show them my Necrolemur fossil but like that's your grandma! Those are primate teeth! From before primates were really a thing!
Surely y'all can appreciate your grandma, right??

Choose your fighter.
A partial fossilized primate jaw from a Necrolemur antiquus from the Quercy Phosphorites Formation in the old Quercy (Lot) province of France. This species of European primate lived during the Eocene. Despite its name, Necrolemur is not a true lemur, but more closely related to modern day tarsiers.
The new children! They are pygmy panther geckos, Paroedura androyensis. They’re not a hands-on species, really, seeing as that’s how big they get. They’re from Madagascar, and their names are Necrolemur (the male, Cro for short) and Djebelemur (the female, Jeebles to her friends). They’re a nocturnal species and extremely fun to watch.
Some late-night Necrolemur, for your viewing pleasure. Came down to see what I was doing (putting a bowl of tiny roaches in).
Cro and Jeebles hanging out on top of their foam backdrop.
I have mixed feelings about it, leaning towards quite positive. I wish it wasn’t so thick, but at the same time, it’s a really fantastic water management system. These two don’t drink from a water dish, and the foam backdrop’s designed to actually retain water- it’s spongy- so it keeps the tank more humid and they lick it to drink.
Well, at least Cro does. I’ve seen him doing it a couple times. Don’t know if Jeebles quite has it figured out yet.
It also is very easy to grow epiphytes in/on.

Glad to hear things are going well! Fingers crossed for your Scary Possible Thing. And any excuse to re-read your stuff is good. ;)
Aww, lol. THANK YOU FOR EVEN READING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

JFC! Ridiculous that they’re making you jump through these hoops. Glad work seems to be understanding.
RIGHT?! I mean, my insurance is paying for it, why on earth do I have to put down the stupid deposit anyways? Isn’t that supposed to be what the insurance is even for?! AND IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO NOT TAKE CASH. I HAVE MONEY, YOU TOLD ME TO BRING MONEY, WHY WON’T YOU TAKE MY MONEY??????
