AO3 Intervention Needed

Out of curiosity, I counted how many stories I have subscribed to. Many I have finished and just keep around for reference, but most of the rest are WIP or stories I have “moved to later.” In total, I have 188 fics!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I think I added around 5 or 6 in the past month. Oh, plus I’m writing one. What was I thinking?

For a while it was okay, because in the beginning I just read every weekend and caught up with my WIP as the authors updated? Now? I’ll check back in and I’m 5 chapters behind or more! And I’ve got two I’d like to catch up with tonight (and more for the weekend if I can), but I’m dead tired now and have soooo much to do this weekend! So if I’m late in commenting...or if I started a story MONTHS ago and never returned, I’m really sorry. I always have the best of intentions, but there are always shiny new stories I see I have to have. Partly because we have some REALLY high quality Reylo stories out there, so that’s a GOOD thing (my masterlist is probably missing about 50 stories; that is how much I read).

I think, in the immortal words of L.M. Montgomery, that I am simply “a book drunkard.”

Sigh. I need a freeze button on AO3 that won’t let me subscribe to more than one story a month!
