THE SAME NIGHTMARE tended to plague his sleep, over and over because he couldn't stop himself from shouldering the guilt of Billy's death. It was over and gone, and Billy was alive, like nothing had happened. But it didn't stop him from feeling as if it were his f a u l t -- if he hadn't pushed the team, none of them would have even been hurt, and everything could have been okay.

And he saw it again and again, Rita dropping Billy into the waters below without hesitation, and the other rangers screaming for him, Jason loudest of all, before he sat straight up, his chest constricted with the beginnings of a panic attack. Billy's alive, he's okay. It was a MANTRA in his head. It didn't even occur to him that Zach was staying over until he felt the hand on his arm, still taking deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Sorry, I didn't- didn't mean to wake you up." He muttered, not meeting the other's gaze.

Zack didn’t seem like the type of boy Olivia would hang out with & Charlie, only listening in on the words of his known overly protective father about Zack’s reputation, wanted answers.
