“That movie was shit.” Sam said rather blankly as they walked though the theatre lobby, his tongue trying to pick the popcorn from his teeth. Darlin’s head snapped back to Sam, gasping in mock horror.
“Hey!” They exclaimed, sipping the last part of their drink before discarding it in the bin they walked past. “I liked the the movie.”
Sam chuckled and shook his head a little, staring at their cute little pout. “Why? It was horrible.” He commented while Darlin stretched their arms in the air.
“Because the main character was hot.” They said, looking back at Sam with a smile before scowling a little, “Reminded me off you actually.” Before playfully winking.
Sam felt his heart skip a beat in his chest, like whenever Darlin says something like that. He reached forward, gently grasping their waist to pull them in for a kiss. Darlin hummed into the kiss before pulling away.
“Huh it’s raining.” Darlin commented when they glanced outside the front doors of the theatre, Sam sighed mentally scolding himself for not bringing an umbrella but Darlin was already heading towards the front door.
“Hey, darlin. You’ll get a cold.” Sam playfully scolded while Darlin placed their hand on the front door, turning back to Sam before winking and going into the rain.
He could hear them chuckles out in the rain before walking to the door Darlin just went out of. The heavy rain quickly soaking his clothes but he was watching his mate standing in the rain. Looking all smug.
“You proud of yourself?” He laughed, “we’ve gotta walk to the car, you’ll get sick.” He walked to Darlin, who was smiling while reaching to Sam resting their arms on his shoulders.
“Yeah but you’ll take care of me.” They teased, and Sam smiled leaning in for another kiss. A slower and tender kiss.
“Always.” He cooed, “I love you.” Darlin laughed and leaned in resting their forehead against his for a moment staring into his pretty eyes for a moment, enjoying the silence accented by the rain.
“Marry me?” They suddenly said, like it was thought they didn’t mean to say. They felt Sam freeze, watched his eyes widen.
“What?” Sam said, staring at their flushed face.
“Marry me, Sam Collins.” They said, smiling nervously. Sam could hear their heartbeat pounding in their chest, or was it his?
“Yeah, darlin. I’ll marry you.” Sam was smiling so wide his cheeks hurt, and Darlin’s smile matched his.
“Good.” They responded, giddy. Sam cupped the back of their neck to kiss them. Hearing them practically purr against his lips.
