Imagine if you could "gift" companions stuff as a separate option rather than trade so when you gift Mac&Cheese, nerd supreme, a comic book or something you get extra dialogue where he's all flustered and blushing like "heh wow, t-thanks," and a 'MacCready loved that' cause he's absolute nerd trash garbage

I have this headcanon that the SS has a massive collection of pre-war comics stashed somewhere in their house. Maybe they were theirs or their spouse’s, who knows. Anyway, when they find them, Mac had a fucking full-scale nerdgasm and starts digging through them, flipping through any issue he can get his geeky little hands on, almost literally drooling on himself.

The SS teases him by casually mentioning these are probably worth a lot of caps, perhaps they should sell them? And Mac just whips around like, “DO THAT AND I WILL LITERALLY SHOOT YOU IN THE FACE.”
