What is the ultimate fate of Darkwarrior Duck?
Well, his final fate is similar both in the Geronimo saga and in my fanfic Unstoppable. Darkwarrior remains in his alternate future universe, alongside Christine (Nega-Gosalyn), and the Friendly Four. But after the events of "That's Christmas To Me" and the influence of Christine, the tyrant would begin to stop being so "tyrant" (a little) when it comes to dispensing justice. I like to think that it's thanks to Christine that Darkwarrior is now able (socially without sending someone to prison for stepping wrong) to participate in events, like the Christmas party we saw in "There's No Christmas Like a Mini Geronimo Christmas!". That he stopped being a vigilante extremist? I find it difficult, but possible to at least… not set a curfew at 8 pm? You start with something, right?
I think about Nega-Gosalyn at least three times a day. I think about her meeting Gosalyn and being stoked to have a sister. I think about them being besties despite their different personalities & complimenting each other perfectly. I think about her developing a superhero identity similar to Quiverwing & growing up to be the Negaverse’s guardian. I think about how much I love her frilly pink dress and bows.
‘91 Negaduck Headcanons
Had the same rough home life as Drake, but caved into his inner demons.
Had many(up to around 50) lovers but Nega-Morgana and Nega-Launchpad are the only ones he truly had an emotional connection.
Hates dogs because he was repeatedly attacked by them.
Takes his anger out on cute things because his father would violently beat him as a kid for liking “unmanly” things.
Killing or physically hurting children is the one thing Negaduck refuses to do.
Loves money to compensate for his extremely poor childhood.
Actually cared for Nega-Gosalyn but didn’t know how to show it, and was upset when the Friendly Four “took” her.
Pistachio ice cream is his favorite because it reminds of the last good time he had with his mom.
His natural voice is like Drake’s but he lowered it to be more intimidating.
Destroyed any record of him before he became Negaduck so no one will know his weaknesses.
Just a cute lil NegaGos portrait based on DT17's normal Gos design. She looks lovely in braids, doesn't she?
Super curiou. I’m wondering what your nega gosalynn and tank are like. Are their stories different in your version.
Sorry, meant to get this yesterday, but fell asleep ^^”
To answer your question, Nega-Gosalyn, or Lynn, as she prefers to be called, is pretty much like she was in the show: A sweet girl who does her best to help people. She loves dressing up a lot and her favorite game to play is “princess tea party” when she gets adopted by the Friendly Four/finally gets a chance to play with other kids- something she never got to do freely while living with Negaduck. Lynn’s a bright girl in both intellect and disposition, but her smiles do often mask the emotional and mental scars she carries from her time spent living with both her grandfather and her tyrannical caretaker. Her new dads do their best to help her and make sure she gets the proper love, care, and attention that she deserves, something she’s forever grateful for after spending so long going from one horrible living situation to another.
As for Nega-Tank, he’s also a lot like he was in the show: A surprisingly intelligent child and a friend to Lynn who tries to assist her and the Friendly Four discreetly when it comes to helping others and changing the city for the better. Like Lynn, he also has some emotional and mental trauma that comes from being raised by parents with a penchant for violence and cruelty. Being the more openly compassionate and sensitive one, Tank was a bit of a black-sheep in his family while his parents doted on his more aggressive younger brother, sometimes outright forgetting they had another son altogether. His life does get better after the Friendly Four save the town and defeat/imprison his parents, allowing him to be raised by his aunt. While his aunt’s not very outwardly affectionate, she’s a better role-model than her sister and agrees to look after Tank and Honker after Bushroot cashes in the favor she owes him for saving her during an alien invasion- she doesn’t let Honker get away with as much as their parents did and makes sure they both get a decent amount of attention, which is a step in the right direction for both kids.
That part in “Life, the Negaverse, and Everything” where Drake wasn’t going to leave until he was confident that he was leaving Nega-Gosalyn in good hands, that’s just a good scene and one of the many reasons I’m just disappointed the series never touched on the Negaverse again (missed opportunity to include them in “Crisis on Infinite Darkwings”, tbh), because this is just a great wholesome sequence, and like, Darkwing’s love for his daughter just extends to all versions of her, it seems, and I love that
Also, I absolutely love how each of the Friendly Four have their own way of wearing the hat: Nega-Bushroot and Nega-Megavolt both ripped off the tops to accommodate, Nega-Liquidator’s hat is just dripping wet, and Nega-Quackerjack is just a hat on a hat (with a mask on a mask, even), and the visual is just a fun set of images.
Negaduck: Hello my beautiful daughter! Just wondering, did you eat my humus as it seems to have disappeared and I was so looking forward to it
Nega-Gosalyn: Maybe
Negaduck: Fucker
