I wanna vomit out all of my Negaverse ideas and headcanons so bad!! But I wanna draw them out but I need to get some of them out on paper sooooo
I think each of the friendly four kinda has their own personal archenemies
MegaVolt has NegaDuck (because og the Darkwing parallel and whatnot)
Bushroot has Morgana (who I think would be a cool villain to play around with and I love the dynamic of a scientist vs. a magic user)
QuackerJack has PaddyWack (I know he’s an antagonist in the main universe too but I love fiddling with the idea of them fighting each other in a comical loony toons battle)
Liquidator has GizmoDuck (I just think an alt evil GizmoDuck would be a cool idea but I haven’t put much thought into it)
Storywise I like to think that the order of the members of the Friendly Four joining would be MegaVolt (who I think has roughly the same backstory as the original character but instead chose to be a hero) then the second member would be QuackerJack who I like to think saw the good the MegaVolt was trying to do and tried to do the same but due to his clumsy nature would accidentally interfere with MegaVolt’s missions and stuff but eventually they joined forces. I also think since QuackerJack has no powers he has some sort of utility bag or belt on him like Batman does. The third member is Bushroot who also has the same origin story but joins MegaVolt and QuackerJack as a hero. Lastly I think the Liquidator was the last member to join and only got turned into the water monster because he discovered someone else was putting chemicals in the water and after an accident he fell in and boom water dog.
I also like the idea of Splatter Phoenix and Bugmaster being minor heroes who help the friendly four on occasion but are seen as a crime fighting duo together bc why not???
I’m really into the Friendly Four aka the nega (hero) versions of the Fearsome Four. They are so silly and I’ve been experimenting with them for a few days and here are some doodles I managed through my art block 😅
I really wanna color them but the boxes have my markers and I won’t see them for months 😫😭
Nega Steelbeak design because I'm bummed he doesn't exist in canon
Negasteel is a charming, caring, & sassy chief agent of *FOWL. (FOWL /the Fellowship of Operatives for World Liberty, is an underground secret resistance organization, fighting in the name of good, & SHUSH is the authoritarian, tyrannical government watching over St. Canard.)
He’s a catalyst for vigilantes to come together to try triumphing against their overruling tormentors. He can put a smile on anyone’s face just from his warm voice alone, & he does so any chance he gets, to keep the spirits high.
He’s very protective of his allies, & his emotions can often override his judgement if his buttons are pushed hard enough. He wants to keep his image clean to present himself as a suitable paragon for the hopeless citizens, but he doesn’t mind getting dirty in order to do what’s right. After all, he has an assortment of different outfits in his wardrobe, so cleanliness is not a concern.
He also isn’t afraid to act against the orders of FOWL if he doesn’t believe their orders are the best course of action. He mainly follows his heart & his own instincts. He’s also a bit of a hopeless romantic, despite having women fall at his feet. He wants to find the right person for him, who loves him for himself, & not just the heroic image of him, but he’d rather focus on world liberation than heart liberation.
The Nega-Muddlefoots are heavily implied to be cannibals. (And so is Negaduck)
While I was analyzing the episode "Life, The Negaverse and Everything" for my analysis on Negaduck's character, I noticed something I hadn't even questioned before.
Right after Darkwing dismisses the possibility of being in an alternate reality, Nega-Herb and Nega-Binkie call for Nega-Tank -- likely to make him be part of Nega-Honker's birthday celebration out in the backyard.
Look at the horrified expression of the two kids' faces. Right after this scene, Nega-Tank says to Darkwing "It's mother and father. Hide!" Its not "WE have to hide", its YOU (Darkwing) have to hide. They both knew what was going to inevitably happen.
As Nega-Herb and Nega-Binkie lead Darkwing -- whom at that point in time thought was Negaduck -- out into the backyard, the following scene is shown. Keep it in mind for later.
Once the Nega-Muddlefoots (excluding Tank) realize that Darkwing isn't actually Negaduck, they don't choose to outright kill him as one would expect. No. Instead, they tie Darkwing to a massive grill spatula and place him over an equally massive grill.
The Nega-Muddlefoots had no idea Darkwing would be there that night. They already had that huge girl and huge spatula at their disposal.
So the reason why Nega-Tank had told Nega-Gosalyn to go get help... was because he knew that when his parents and younger brother realized that Darkwing wasn't Negaduck...
They were going to EAT HIM.
OH MY GOD?!??
This also leads me to believe that the heads shown previously aren't necessarily fake...
Moving onto Negaduck, his scene shows up in "Just Us Justice Ducks, Part 2" when Darkwing uses an intercom to trick Negaduck by imitating a woman's voice and announcing "Flowers for Negaduck!", to which Negaduck yells back that he hates flowers, causing Darkwing to quickly double down and say, "Did I say flowers? I meant… skulls! Skulls for Negaduck!" —which Negaduck is then shown to LICK his lips (or beak I guess) in a savory manner.
I'm pretty sure Darkwing meant it as in something to give as a gift rather than food, but Negaduck sure didn't think of it that way.
I hadn't seen anyone mention this before, so here I am -- mentioning it. Do what you will with this information.
(It goes without saying you can just interpret it as a gag with no seriousness behind it. To each their own.)
Haven't talked about any of my current fics on this blog yet, so why not start now? Which'll it be... Ah, right, DuckTales: Family's Shortcomings, aka my negaverse fic.
How'd I even get the idea? From what our memories say, it started with the Negatales fic series.
For anyone needing an explanation... From my understanding, the negaverse (Originally introduced in Darkwing Duck) is an alternate reality that flips core concepts of characters.
Let's take DW and Negaduck as examples, as those are the most used ones in Darkwing Duck.
DW is a heroic person with slightly... unorthodox approaches for crime fighting. He works for SHUSH, a secret organisation set on protecting the world.
Negaduck is the opposite. He's a meglaomaniacal conquerer who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He already took over his dimension's St. Canard, and is now set on taking over DW's St. Canard as well.
Anyways, enough of explanations for what the negaverse is.
FS follows the triplets, Webby, and Fethry Duck. Fethry, in this AU, is the most popular duck in the world, for better or worse.
The triplets are all somewhat switched around. Huey is more like a mix between Dewey and Louie, Dewey is more like Huey, and Louie is actually less like any other triplet and more like the level-headed one.
Webby isn't exactly one for adventure, or she wasn't. She still isn't like her canon counterpart, but she's the closest to hers.
Fethry is also, despite how he might act, a family person. He's just also obsessed with fame.
Bradford takes Beakley's role, being the housekeeper and spy of the group.
Johan is replaced with Black Heron. Due to how I introduced her, she doesn't have much character yet. All I can say is that she's self-conscious about her claw.
LP is actually somewhat antagonistic. He's rude, sarcastic, and enjoys the chaos the Ducks cause.
Beakley is taking Heron's place, being the enemy spy. She works for SHUSH, which, in this universe, stands for Supervillainous Heinous Usurpers for Shady Havoc. She's ruthless and efficient, but can still fail, mostly due to the Ducks.
Lena is actually in Magica's role, having planned to steal the dime, due to Poe being trapped in it. Why? Well, that story has happened long ago. Anyways, this Lena only manipulated Webby and the family to get to the dime. As of the Season 1 finale, The Blood Moon War, she failed and is actively looking for vengeance.
Magica knew about Lena's plan and tried stopping her without resorting to violence, as that just isn't her style in this AU. She failed, obviously. Right now, she's living without Lena, but is searching for her niece.
Mitzy the Krill is actually taking Goldie's role as ex of Fethry, in duck form. This was also inspired by Negatales. Right now, she's on friendly terms with Fethry.
Can't say much on Goldie, as she hasn't had much screen time yet. Only thing is, is that she's Scrooge's ex.
Speaking of Scrooge, he's a villain. Not just any villain either, he's pretty terrifying. All his adventures were done in persuit of power. He even tricked the Greek gods, angering all but Zeus.
Della isn't much better. She's an abusive mother that only wants the triplets due to an ancient prophecy related to a mythical artifact. She won't stop until she gets the boys.
Glomgold is a benevolent business owner that only wants the best for everyone.
Beaks is also a kind tech CEO, actively working on making everyone's lives better.
Zan is more of a "meme queen". She enjoys causing others slight inconveniences, but doesn't overdue it. Some say she resembles Waddleduck, but what do they know?
Fenton is a bounty hunter. He is also quite power hungry.
Gyro is actually more of a lower scientist. He's anxious and doesn't do much of the "personal ideas" thing.
Should be... every current major char? I think? Anyways, an insight into Family's Shortcomings and its characters.

...Completely forgot posting the announcement.
Anyways! Season 2 Episode 1 of my DuckTales (2017) Negaverse series is here! This’ll be Huey’s season, considering the only shuffle left would be Dewy and Huey switching, considering I made Season 1 Louie’s.
Nega-launchpad: it got downgraded from assault with a deady weapon to a simple assault. Jim: what did Negaduck attack the officer with? Nefa launchpad: a vape. Jim: well, that is hazardous for his health.
