Preventing unnecessary repeated animal experiments

I applaud to this grant call from the Dutch healthcare research agency ZonMw. Wasting animals on experiments that are never going to be published because they are considered unpuplishable is just not right!

In science, we tend to publish only the positive results, the positive correlations, the drugs that work, the approaches that lead to results. All the paths taken wrong, the failed trials... they are lost in drawers. And then other researchers inevitably repeat the same mistakes.

This grant call want to prevent repeating the wrong paths and failed trials that involve lives of animals. And that's awesome.

Good morning dearest lovelies!! (And good afternoon to a couple of you!)

Just a quick note to let you know this weekend’s installments may be posted a bit more erratically than normal.

My negative test results came in this morning which means that all our paperwork is now in order to go visit little’s Canadian grandparents for the weekend!!! For the first time since Feb. 2020!! We have seen them twice, briefly in that time, but never to each other’s houses and never more than a few hours. Little and Papa are so excited!!

Me too honestly. Sweet B.C. I’ve missed you. And live hockey. And Tim’s. And Triple O’s. And beautiful mountains peaking over the ocean. And walking downtown to wander. And just being able to go whenever. *wipes tear from eye*
