...Yeah, I couldn't help myself. ^^;
I did both a young design and an old design, showing how Neichel might look in Elfilin's day. ^^ With the cool blues and deep greens, I tried to give her outfit a sort of 'Mother Nature' vibe...
For the purposes of the GONE universe (at least for now), Neichel is a more-or-less ordinary pop star. She is simply rumored to be a clairvoyant thanks to the imagery in her songs, and her habit of using dreams as songwriting inspiration. If her songs have any special power or magic quality, she is unaware of it, and no one has seriously tried to prove it so far.
In the present day, she's one of the few thousand people (like the Lab Discovera crew) still living in the "Old World" for one reason or another. She still writes music, although her fanbase has greatly diminished over the years...especially since most of them literally live on another planet. ^^ Once or twice a year, 'tour groups' come back to visit her and ask for autographs (Elfilin himself would never be allowed to participate, but let him dream).
I like to think that Elfilin enjoys Neichel's music partly because of the wonder of getting to discover it for himself in his sheltered life, and partly because he subconsciously remembers being drawn to it back when he was Fecto Elfilis. In a way, if it wasn't for Neichel, Elfy wouldn't have been born...
Do you think Forgo is secretly a Neichel fan, too? ^^ If Elfilin *was* able to meet her in person, do you think he'd be, like, psychically eavesdropping and fanboying along with him? XD Or would he be more nonchalant about it, but subtly trying to suggest things to him: "Elfilin...take a selfie with her...Elfilin, get her to sign your forehead...Elfilin, ask her if she'll write a song about me...I mean, you..."
