The neighbor I have been friendly with for the last year or so (hereby dubbed "the hat man") and I spoke twice today. He was out with his dog, a super cute pitbull wearing a rubber duckie raincoat. The second time they walked by as I was smoking, he asked if she could come say hi and my heart lit up with joy. Petting her and getting a few more pleasantries in with the hat man totally made my day. 💜
