So. Originally I was going to do the one with Lance and his family as a redraw, but my brain told me that I should try and do an edit instead. So I tried my paw at it and now I have a few edits of Lance as a palakitty! I’m not as fond of the one where he’s shooting the video, I struggled with the colour of his markings, but the rest? I’m actually pleased with. I like to think I did a good job making the edits.

The idea of Lance being a cat like Pidge, just taller, came to mind. Ideas as to why came up. One that seems nice is Lance being captured and experimented on.  So! Here we have him a little concerned. And Pidge talking with him, reassuring him that things would be fine, that he’s still Lance. His family will still love him.  And! Because I couldn’t decide, here’s him in a red outfit.

Both were so tempting. 

I don’t know if Lance would be a cat in this such AU, even assuming I’d write it, but it’s a fun concept.

Pidge is so excited to see a bigger cat!

Okay, the idea with this in the AU is that on Earth, Lance actually plays D&D with some others, Hunk included, and had his ninja cat, Pike. Then after they end up in space and meet Pidge, he’s stunned because he realizes she and her people are pretty much chibified versions of his character. And he feels bad and embarrassed because he’s afraid to offend them. But when they play Monsters and Mana, Hunk convinces Lance to continue using Pike, assuring him that Pidge probably wouldn’t mind and if things go sour, they could explain how things are on Earth.  Pidge, though, is excited at the similarities in appearance and flattered. She’s also interested in the fact that humans really seem to like cats, including cat people.  So. That’s that.
