I find it interesting how Aventurine's Waveflair e6 eidolon seems to be a version of himself he preforms as towards other people rather than who he truly is, considering e6 is a character's most true, uncovered raw self. his brand is turned away from the viewer, he is posing- very clearly so- with a smile (or something like it) and his hair is tucked back.

compare this to his original e6 where there's nothing fancy- no theatrics or smile, just a hand over his heart, hair loose and brand visible. the raw version of himself beneath the performance, what the IPC and cameras and media would never see- Kakavasha.

maybe this is all obvious but still I thought it would be interesting to point out. had this on the brain since I saw the new eidolons

you know, if grace were to return back to earth, eva would get none of the credit for everything she poured her blood sweat and tears into. grace would be the hero, and yes it would be deserved considering all he's been through, but i guarantee you eva would not be appreciated as she should be. SHE is the only reason earth still lives, without HER grace wouldn't have gone. without her none of everything that happened would have happened. and i think people would forget all the anguishing and deciding over science and mechanics and the weight of it all she did to be able to send that crew up, especially grace.

been watching dawdte a little too much but. I do have reason to believe that at least the King In Yellow is fueled or encouraged by fear. There's the whole thing with the church and the censored book, Avery and D3rlord both reacting differently- Avery falling into a numb trance reminiscent of a depressive state, meanwhile D3rlord is simply. repulsed by whatever was written. something about the fawn vs flight response. i don't know.

there's also Avery's "I've never felt that scared in my life" line during the town chase (also, I pointed this out to my friend, but Avery sinks like a rock when he hits the water of the Basin and doesn't move/look up from the bottom until he takes damage. it feels vaguely reminiscent of his behaviors at the church, at least the trance state?) versus D3rlord's "Maybe I am scared" in the caves. It's Avery confessing that whatever is after him is actively scaring him (and making him feel hopeless) meanwhile D3rlord doesn't actively admit it, he just.. tries to brush it off- that's how I at least perceived that moment

the king punishing D3rlord for not providing him fear by torturing that man with the weight of there is to know about the world. the king choosing Avery as his vessel because he is afraid and hopeless.

for Christmas I got my hands on a Shaw Security hoodie. I also happen to have two big dogs prone to shedding so I have a question for the community

How many lint rollers do y'all think the pack goes through before a security gig. Bc ik the dog hair shows like a fucking stain on black clothes and there is no way in HELL those werewolves manage to NOT get hair on their clothes with how massive they're implied to be

i adore the fact they gave rocky a more warm/human sounding voice its very endearing and really helps highlight how intelligent he is + strengthens the dynamic he has with grace

however it would've been so funny had grace found a voice that sounded like AM or HAL9000's

sometimes i think too hard. and like. God the amount of pain Sebastian sounds like hes in when he finds painter is just. it's the only time we've EVER heard him get close to crying/being vulnerable and it's for such a short moment too before. Before he's angry. before the loss settles in and he's absolutely Seething, yelling at the top of his lungs and grieving the only person (well. Thing) he had left, ripped away by the person(s) he fucking despised right off the bat and god it. For a very short moment, just between him and the remains of painter, he's not a monster anymore- he's a person who just lost the only person they had left . For a second he stops the facade he put up to entertain urbanshade and the expendables and just tries to help tries to fix it, fix painter. for a second he's vulnerable to nothing but a corpse. vulnerable, painfully so, someone he's never getting back.
