I need to vent about batman: white knight a little bit here cause my dude... I have a lot of conflicting feelings.

So like first:

GOOD THINGS

- The art is fucking beautiful. Enough said.

- The character designs are fucking beautiful. Seriously joker is adorable in his little batman crop top. Twoface in the bg looks AMAZING like show me more. Even neo Joker has a hell of a LOOK. Batgirl is sooo cute.

- I love that jack was calling out gotham's 1%. I love the story of Backport. I love Bruce losing his shit when a dumb racist socialite calls it Blackport and punching him in the nose. That's some dope political commentary.

- I've always loved when people point out that superheroes cause huge amounts of property damage. It's hilarious and it brings a level of reality to superheroes that I enjoy. How do they keep fixing all this stuff they break?? I found the whole idea of a hidden batman fund just... absolutely hilarious and awesome. +10 pts

- love mr freeze and Nora's love story and the part they play in the story. Victor deserves happiness. Pls support him.

- 2 whole harleys. I enjoy this actually? Some people might not but I actually love Marian. The joker unknowingly saving her life... I love that. And it's easy to see why she wouldn't want jack instead. I like her even more than Harleen in this case but I'll get to that. It's just an interesting and different way to approach things anyway.

Now, let's talk ISSUES. Cause I have a... few.

- I'm not going to knock a reformed joker idea because I get we have all wanted that at one point but... man it doesnt sit well for me in this case. Theres a lot going on... that I'm not feeling.

- FOR ONE Magic medication that just lets jack out of the box. That's not how medication works. Regardless of whatever stupid cartoon rules you're using. You cant just take a bunch all at once and suddenly be fine. Nevermind that they'd continue to just let him take some random meds he found in a warehouse?? Like is no one concerned about side effects?? No one is supposed to know Harley made these specifically for joker?? Given meds do wear off over time and need to be adjusted but I dont think they should be making you bleed out your nose. Just saying. Bad portrayal of medication used to treat mental illness.

- Harley Quinn. Man. Allowing batman to beat the living shit out of the man shes supposed to love in the hopes hed shove an excessive amount of unknown substances down his throat. That... was your rehabilitation plan. Don't try to convince me Harley is a healthy sane normal woman who's just in love when this .... is how she decides to show it. Not to mention slut shaming Marian which I big dont think Harley would do.

- in particular, In the final confrontation Harley and Marian, Harley insists shes always loved Jack despite his illness instead of because of it. As if that hadn't been his entire identity for years? Certainly mental illness is a battle but it kind of comes off... wrong to me. Even In a world with a reformed Joker, he will always be mentally ill. There is no Jack with no Joker at all.

- I kind of hate the way Jack and Joker are played up as seperate entities. I don't think at all theres just a magically healthy version of Joker that hes been suppressing. Doesnt fly with me. Even if you're implying he has Dissasociative identity disorder.

God I hope what I'm saying makes sense. This is just my opinion by the way feel free to disagree or whatever.
