post-covid CBSE having a competency kink:
Another day. Another research. This time it’s about NEP(National Education Policy) 2020 in India.
NEP : We are reducing load and stress off students, and they can now actually decide what they want to be! They can take up any combination of subjects they want, and colleges will have to accept them. In fact, even colleges like IIT have to introduce other subjects. We will be dramatically changing exam patterns to promote actual learning than cramming up useless information. Oh and also, we are introducing bagless days and vocational courses
Indian Parents :
THE NEW EDUCATION POLICY,
Is indeed a huge change in our education system and it is nothing but a benefit to our future generations, as the important changes will be implemented after a struggle of 34 long years. But it still lacks a basic need that children, the future of our country needs the most i.e SEX EDUCATION!
Yes, we didn't find the word "SEX EDUCATION" even once in the NEP 2020, but what's even worse is that SEX EDUCATION was included in the NEP 2019 draft!
Why do we need SEX EDUCATION, and what is the meaning of it?
Sex education is the instruction of issues relating to human sexuality.
It includes emotional relations and responsibilities, sexual activity, human sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction, age of consent, reproductive rights, reproductive health, safe sex, sexual abstinence, and birth control.
It just does not only teach about Sexual Intimacy but also teaches about emotional aspects of Sex, its legalities, which type of sex is unethical and forced, what is wrong and what is right when having an Intercourse.
"Having a good sense of humor about sex will keep things in perspective" said Oscar Auliq-Ice.
SEX EDUCATION provides that sense of humor and perspective our children need to learn at the right age. The right way and the right time of sexual intimacy can play a VERY BIG role in "ABOLISHMENT OF RAPES"!
This is not only going to benefit us today but this will bring an impactful change in the lives of future generations!
The generation will be safe, and no innocent will not be left abused.
The future generations will focus more on emotions rather than just bodies, but the only weapon we need is "SEX EDUCATION"
In India daily 98 Rape cases are registered on an average, these are the cases that are reported to the police and we can say that nearly more than 50% cases go unreported.
These things are doing nothing but degrading our dignity as a nation.
Don't you think, "This has to stop!"
If yes! Then the need is to teach children the right thing to fight the crimes, let's teach them that
" PORN IS NOT SEX EDUCATION! "
Yes, you read this right!
Porn is a portray of fake and wrongly done sexual intercourse which is manipulating the minds of the generations!
And SEX EDUCATION can help us to teach children the right thing in the right way.

Make Your College Degree Work Smarter: Why Electives and Minor Degrees Matter
Many students believe that once they get into college, their academic journey is completely defined by the course they chose. In reality, today's universities offer far more flexibility than most students realize. Through electives, interdisciplinary courses, and minor degree programmes, students can customize their education, develop valuable skills, and prepare themselves for careers that go beyond their core degree.
Unfortunately, many undergraduates select elective subjects simply because they seem easier or because their friends are taking them. This often means missing out on opportunities that could strengthen their resume, improve career prospects, and help them stand out in a competitive job market.
Understanding the difference between departmental electives, open electives, and interdisciplinary subjects is the first step toward making better academic decisions. A carefully planned combination of these courses can help students gain practical knowledge in fields like Data Science, Finance, Digital Marketing, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, or Design without changing their major.
A minor degree is another powerful option available under the NEP 2020 framework. It allows students to build structured expertise in a second discipline alongside their primary degree. Whether you're an engineering student interested in economics or a commerce student curious about analytics, a well-chosen minor can make your profile more attractive to employers and postgraduate institutions.
If you're unsure how electives, the college credit system, and minor programmes actually work, How to Choose a College When You Are Not Getting Your Preferred Course. provides a detailed guide on choosing electives strategically, understanding credit requirements, planning a minor degree, and using your college years to build career-ready skills.
The modern job market values professionals with multidisciplinary knowledge and practical abilities. Choosing the right electives today can create opportunities that extend far beyond your classroom and help you build a stronger, more versatile career profile after graduation.

Learn how to make the smartest admission decision in this guide.
The right electives can help you develop expertise in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Finance, Psychology, or Design, while a well-planned minor degree can strengthen your profile for placements, higher studies, and career transitions. With NEP 2020 encouraging multidisciplinary education, students have more freedom than ever to create a personalized learning journey.
Rather than settling for disappointment, use your college years to build the skills employers actually value. A thoughtful strategy today can create opportunities that go far beyond the name of your degree.

Can You Start a Preschool Without an Education Background?
Many people believe you need to be a teacher to open a preschool.
The truth is, you don't have to be an educator to build a great preschool—but you do need the willingness to learn, lead, and create the right environment for children.
Successful preschool owners aren't expected to teach every class. Their role is to build a strong team, support teachers, ensure quality education, and earn the trust of parents.
With the right guidance, continuous learning, and a child-first mindset, people from different professional backgrounds have successfully entered the early childhood education sector.
At the end of the day, children don't remember your degree.
They remember how safe, happy, and cared for they felt.
A great preschool is built on leadership, consistency, and genuine care—not just qualifications.
Sometimes, the best school leaders are lifelong learners themselves.
