A thought about Joss Whedon

So after seeing Avengers today (it was absolute perfection btw) ,I was talking about how Joss Whedon is kind of a nerd god and what not. then had a realization: He will grant us wonderful new movies and tv shows, but demands the sacrificial death of a loved character. Firefly didn't kill anyone on the show and got cancelled. Then he gave us Serenity, but took Sheppard and Wash. Think about it.
