A Woman's Worth

Ellen Bravo joined Melissa Harris Perry on her show this morning and brought up a great point. Conservatives are defending Ann Romney's right to stay home and her choice to raise her young children, but when this question of "choice" is presented to poor women, Conservatives see them as "lazy, irresponsible, and refusing to work."   If it's good for a married, middle class woman to stay home, shouldn't it be ok for a poor woman to choose to stay home and raise her young kids as well?

Conservatives. You should hold off on declaring yourselves the party of the "working" and "stay at home" woman until you can pass legislation that provides proper rights to this group.  Until then, STFU.
