🕷 Beel never kills spiders; he always releases them into the forest behind the House of Lamentation. He’s also bad at catching them, though, and often ends up chasing them in the direction of someone who will kill them.

🌈 No surprise, his favorite color is orange. He actually isn’t a huge fan of the fruit by the same name, though.

🍽 When Beel is on cooking duty, there are enough leftovers for everyone to take to lunch the next day, even with his constant snacking.

🎬 If Beel got to work on a set, he thinks he’d have fun holding the boom microphone.

🎼 Beel’s singing voice is higher pitched than one would expect from looking at him. It’s a very soft tenor.

Angst and murder coming right up

The house is a disaster. Glass litters the floor from shattered windows. Portraits of once smiling faces are torn and unrecognizable. Blood drips from the ceiling in macabre bastardizations of abstract art. Several walls have been crumbled under the weight of a body, thrown too hard to have been caused by normal human strength. 

It’s an obvious sign of a vampire attack, and yet. 

There’s silver mingling with the blood. A blade impaled in an overturned table. 

“Self defense,” the association would claim. They were simply wrong about the defender’s identity. 

Glass breaks further under Briar’s boots as they move past crumpled bodies and into the dark hall. The path is familiar; six strides forwards, a left turn, up the stairs and to the right. 

The door to the master bedroom opens for them without a sound. A stray feather flutters past in the wake of its opening. 

Briar stares at the body staked to the mattress with a heart devoid of emotion. It’s human, that is all that matters. 

When they turn, Belphegor is in the doorway. 

“I just want us to be happy. I had to kill them.” 

He’s absolutely covered in blood, clothes so drenched they’re uncertain what the original color ever was. His eyes glow red in the darkness. 

Briar steps closer to look him over for injuries. “I know.”

“It would have been quick if they hadn’t fought back.” 

They lift his hand and mutter a quick incantation. The silver burns on his palm fade away in the wake of their magic. “I know,” they say again.

They kneel to examine the rip in his shirt, across his ribs. The wound is already nearly gone; healed from the life blood of his would be attackers. They know who did it. They recognize the angle and strength it would have taken. 

They straighten once more and take his clawed hand. “We need to go before anyone finds this place. I’ve already prepared the wards.” 

“You don’t seem upset.”

They glance back at their father, who lays dead amongst the chaos of his bedroom. 

“They weren’t--good people.” Briar turns away and pulls him in the direction of the back door. “We can talk about it later.”

He scoops them up with inhuman speed. He’s standing on the lawn when they next blink.

Briar lifts a hand and sets off the spells set into the walls. The house groans as it’s engulfed in flames, as if it can sense their betrayal. The light of it burns through their eyelids. They close their eyes and hide away in Belphegor’s shoulder. 

“Go,” they whisper.

he loves your sarcastic and witty personality, especially when you’re talking back to lucifer aslkdj. it’s so entertaining for him, and he thinks it’s great that he’s able to have some non-serious banter with someone. with 6 brothers, that’s hard to get, since playful arguments can quickly turn into violent fights. 

you two probably have the exact same, cynical sense of humor. whereas his dark jokes would usually go either a) unnoticed by his brothers or b) get a reaction of “oh my god, belphie” or “dude, uncalled for” you actually get them (and sometimes respond with something slightly worse someone stop the two of you). but fr you’re the funniest goddamn people to each other, it’s adorable. something he says will make you laugh and then your laugh will make him laugh and it keeps going until neither of u can breathe im 🥺

i think he’d also be quite into movies. before meeting you he’d probably refuse to watch human-world films, but now that he’s more open-minded he is SO hooked on them. god forbid he finds the horror genre, dear god- i mean with you as an s/o, he’s probably exposed to them already. he’s the kind to laugh at “supposedly scary” (his words) cgi and murder scenes. the only thing that really spooks him is probably those very quiet scenes. he knows something’s coming but jfc WHEN just scare him already-

the two of you are probably in the background of all the family arguments, just watching everyone yell at each other. it’s quite entertaining, honestly. the other 6 demons have minor wars over small things, like someone spoiling a show or who ate the last roll. 

it’s also likely that since you’re like belphie, you get along great with beel! and honestly, beelzebub is super happy that his twin found someone who he loves. especially since that someone is a human. you’ve helped belphegor understand love again, and for that, beel is grateful. 

belphie is probably also very insecure about you hating him. “i wouldn’t be surprised if this is all out of pity for me” and “after what i did, i don’t think i deserve you” are common phrases to hear. he isn’t fishing for compliments, he just doesn’t know if, after all he’s put you through, after all he’s put his brothers through, he deserves to be happy. hug himmmmmmm please babie is so worried > <

he loves affection!! if you’re willing to give him some, then by god is he willing to return them. this will usually come in the form of cuddling since he’s always napping. he’s okay with being either the big or little spoon, but i feel like since he’s protective of you, he’d rather be big spoon. he likes knowing you’re safe :)

They are the only thing he loves more than his obsession with L (In other words, they’re the only thing keeping him on this side of losing it).

He would kill for them…literally. Anyone better think twice before they wrong the one BB loves. (They feel the same way about him.)

Their enemies are his enemies and they love to plan revenge schemes together, you know…just for fun.

Whenever they have to spend the night apart, he calls them to tell them he misses them…at 3:30am.

Along the same lines, when they leave for work in the morning, they aren’t gone 5 minutes before he calls to remind them that he’s thinking about them.

He’s also the kind of guy that “drops by” their work to visit them. (He’s possessive and lets his imagination get the better of him sometimes.)

Every night before bed, they watch at least one episode of whatever their current favorite show is on their streaming queue and spend far too long over analyzing the characters’ actions and motivations.

They also have similar tastes in books and have had many heated intellectual arguments that almost always leads to them *enjoying* one another.

They’re the only person he’s ever told about his parents and his life before Wammy’s House…Maybe someday he can tell them about the orphanage and L…but not today.

They may not know details about his past or the demons that torment him, but they know he struggles with jealousy and possessiveness. They spend a lot of time reminding him how much they love him and that no one could ever take his place in their heart. (This almost always helps him feel better because, for once, he is wanted for him and not to be someone’s “Backup”.)

He worries constantly about their lifespan, even though he knows it’s long and he really doesn’t need to.

They both adore dressing up as different personas and going out for the night, causing mischief and having a pretty good time doing so, especially knowing that once they go home, the people that could be identified for their debauchery no longer “exist”.

I really love Sengoku Basara, so I was wondering if you could do number 1 of the tropes thing (bodyswap) for Hideyoshi and Hanbei. Anyway, thanks, I love your blog!

Oh my god do you realize

Hanbei would admire himself quite a bit, and then it would occur to him that Hideyoshi was in HIS BODY, and that this is like literally the #1 disaster that has ever occurred IN HIS LIFE. Hideyoshi is really kind of paralyzed because he can fulfill like 0% of the functions off which he has based his identity and self-worth. also, he is dying.

Hanbei fixes the bodyswap problem with brilliant schemes and SenBasa logic and them moves onto the #2 disaster that has ever occurred in his life, namely that Hideyoshi has lived in his body and knows what he is dealing with and, in toyotomi terms, how weak he actually is, and when Hideyoshi tries to take care of him after that he knows how much he is accepting Hanbei’s weakness, which is a disaster because hideyoshi can never compromise ever ever ever

I would say sorry for making this crack prompt sad but there is literally no other way to go and i am not sorry, also people should send me more of these because it’s fun
