i assumed when watching oikawa take all of karasuno’s screen time that the writers had done it to emphasize oikawa’s celebrity factor, but you’re absolutely right! It’s incredibly telling that even though karasuno had a huge upset by beating date tech, seijoh got all the screen time.

Gonna be honest, I still don’t really like that? The Web has been built up as such a Big Bad the whole time, and while I think there’s time to redeem Annabelle (I hope I wish I dream) I just.. Can’t see something like that working with Martin? Where like, the stuff he was doing to protect people was specifically tied to the Lonely, technically he manipulated Jonah and Peter but no more than they were manipulating him in turn. We already know his domain was Lonely/Eye, so while he is definitely related to the Web in some way we know it isn’t his patron and he isn’t serving it. 

And like, I’m not sure you could say there’s really a noble way to serve a fear? Because it’s A Fear, and we were told by Gerry that there’s no good version, it’s just fear, so while I’m sure there’s ways to serve it for a good reason (Like Julia’s father I guess, or her and Trevor’s intent) I’m just a little sceptical of it all. 

I guess I’m just not a fan of “You’ve secretly been evil all along too!” plots, which I suppose Martin finding his domain was a little bit like but I think it was handled well and was more about realising that even if you didn’t intend to do something your actions have consequences when you’re complicit in something, which is really just a broad theme of the show. Web Martin just... I’m not even sure how to phrase it anymore because any time I do I end up talking myself in circles and overthinking all of it beyond just plain and simple I Do Not Like It. I don’t want it in canon and I don’t really like aus with it, barring maybe a handful that do something cool (Or art that just slaps). Brain just says No
