Today’s been insane, Maya has been seen by four different vets in the past 24 hours. She is now in surgery for her tail. We aren’t totally sure what’s going in but she is having numbness in her tail which is causing it to die. So we are having it removed because we have to. Tail removal is a really hard thing to heal and we don’t know what the long term affects are going to be. For right now this is our best option please keep her in your thoughts.

I thought I would go more into the story but right now it appears to be a bulging disk in her spine the surgery is very expensive ( not doable expensive.) However do to this she had numbness in her tail. It caused it to actually rot away, so we were at the vet Thursday for her pulling the hair on it, by Friday she had chewed it off though the e collar. To say this was gross would be an understatement it was horrible. So we took her to an emergency vet that night. The next day she was at my vet, they referred me to Flint who refused to remove the tail with out her seeing a neurologist in Bloomfield Hills. So we headed to our third vet. They finally agreed to do the surgery after nearly trying to send us somewhere else. The vet there refused to do it with out an MRI which is 4 thousand and we haven't even touched Surgery. Plus they couldn't do it until Monday we were about to just go home and get it done from our vet on Monday. When these amazing people agreed to do the surgery. So Maya had to have her tail removed they are very hard to heal and we are looking at more vet bills. If anyone wants to help at this time that would be amazing.
