The special relationship between Nero and Felicia.
They’re are helping each other heal from their traumatic experience while they are dealing with their life together.
Felicia:
Where the Problem comes from:
Her’s family deaths are in her thoughts and in her heart forever. It’s never something that goes away but it gets better with time. Even though it’s times when she are strong and confident.
She also have moments when she are alone with her thoughts or waking up from an sleep with old memories of her life before.
She can’t help get overwhelmed by Sadness and grief.
What are she feeling and the hard part:
Hopeless, sadness, angry all at the same time.
The hard part is that she can’t see the problem or fix it herself so it makes her overwhelming with emotions.
Her heart are hurting so much that she can’t breath without it feeling painful.
What she does to avoids to deal with it:
Usually when she feels hurt she drinks the pain away, lashing out at everyone trying to get closer to her, taking unnecessary deadly risks and works herself to physical exhaustion.
Her thoughts are that she are not allowed to feel happy again.
What she needs to get over or handle the problem:
She needs someone to help her when she acts out because of her bad temper.
She needs someone to calm her down. Telling her that it’s going to be okey to feel weak, sad or to cry.
She needs to be aware that it’s okey to talk about and miss her past life with her family.
But mostly they need to remind her that she can be happy and liv an great life even if they are not here.
What Nero does to her:
He may not say much but stays by her side even if she tries to literally push him away from her. Her temper are as bad as it gets. Hitting him or destroying things around her.
He doesn’t care if she hurt him. He will put his arms around her tightly until she finally calm down or break down in an crying as she letting it all out.
He would listens to her problems, talks about it more, ask specifically questions and offer support to let her know that he his here to help her.
It’s an small thing really but still enough for her to calm down.
He always says:
“it’s not your fault why your family are dead, you couldn’t have done anything more than you did and it’s okey to be happy again... let me take half of the burden too...”
Nero:
Where the Problem comes from:
He are feeling disgusted about his brothers crimes, angry of himself for not being able to stop them and the guilt he feels of his parents grief.
If he had kept quiet about it all... He wouldn’t had damage their family repetition or split up their family.
What are he feeling and the hard part:
Lonely , unwanted and overwhelmed...
The Hard part is the guilt eating him from the inside and he shuts down when he feels too overwhelmed of the guilt.
So he doesn’t talk or trust people easily if something bothers him.
What he does to avoids to deal with it:
He usually try to keep everything to himself, not wanting to talking about the problems he’s going through and that’s because of the fearing that his feelings are just an burden.
So when he can’t hide away the angry or frustration he usually picks fights at the bar
But if he gets too overwhelmed he runs away to an quiet place to be alone.
When he are overwhelmed he always thinks that his not welcome home because of he was the one cause the family to be scattered...
What he needs to get over or handle the problem:
He needs someone to find him, see him and takes him home.
He needs someone to pressure/help him to open up and let it all his negative emotions and thoughts before it gets too much for him.
He needs someone to be by his side unconditionally and show him that people want to have him around.
Show him that you have an place to give him an warm home.
What Felicia does to him:
Felicia always encourage him to talk about his feelings or opinions.
It’s something she does naturally without efforts.
If his by himself, she are the first one to hug him, tell him that she misses him and hold his hand while they are walking home.
She always says:
“I’m going to be by your side forever through bad time and good ones too. If you feel like you don’t see the light anymore or can’t find your way hime. I’m going to crawl to hell to get you back home again... You always take half of my burden so please let my take yours too.”
Side note:
It’s an interesting relationship they have together but it works.
Both of them have been through ups and down especially in the beginning...
But they always found their way back to each other.
