♡ — my muse and yours
Nero: “You’ve made strides in your skill with a bow, Durgen’assan.”
Cullen: Chuckles. "But not enough for you to stop calling me that."
Nero: "Aye, it does seem to have stuck."
Cullen: "Do you ever plan on giving it up, I wonder?"
Nero: "Not until you can outshoot me."
Cullen: "I suppose I shall have to get used to it, then."
"unfortunately, we don’t have that kind of time."
"You're telling me that you'd honestly prefer sitting in on a diplomatic meeting getting ogled at to learning to properly use a bow?" Nero says flatly, brows going up. "I've seen you in the yard, commander; and we'll just say you've earned the nickname Durgen'assan among my archers."
"this is your work, is it?"
Nero's expression is carefully neutral; he rests one hand on the pommel of his longknife and holds a missive addressed to the commander between the first and middle finger of the other. He extends the letter–wax seal unbroken, paper slightly wrinkled–to Cullen.
"Caught someone rifling through your mail in the rookery," he says. "No identifying insignia or allegiance. Sister Nightingale's men have spirited him off for questioning, but I doubt anything will come of that."
to Nero: got your eye on anyone?
"No." The response is curt. Short. "I don't have time for that sort of nonsense."
