Was going to ask you this on discord but I thought it would be better here. What do jades parents think about mal? Do they treat her like a daughter inlaw?
They were judgemental at first, assuming the worst out of her. Though they do warm up to Laya in the future and treat her as their own. But it does take a bit.
No it's not homophobia, they're just not very trusting.
Parents are just the start of it though
mingxia has a bigger family
Michael Afton being a mama's boy is SO important to me
Birthdays are hard.
I was supposed to write today but then I started watching arcane "just to see if it was as good as people say" and I thought "there's no way I'm gonna get addicted"
yeah guess what
I binge watched the whole first season and now I'm on ep3 of the second one
safe to say I did get addicted
BUT I promise I'll try to write at least a little tomorrow, but I don't know if I'm gonna finish anything.
So I saw Thunderbolts yesterday and I'm finally motivated to start writing on an old fic of mine again
(Thunderbolts was great and I felt like I was transported back into the joy of watching pre-Infinity-War Marvel stuff again)
I don't think we talk enough about how the last two veterans not only reclaimed the old SC slogan of 'Dedicate Your Heart" (after it was dragged through the mud by the Jaegerists), but also infused it with more meaning and purpose than ever before.
The absolute purity of this scene after all the fucked up mess we witnessed in the whole story is just something deeply special to me.
I do still think that Oriko actually has more in common with Homura than Madoka, and the event helped prove that. Both of them will go to remarkable lengths to fulfill their goals, and both of them were traumatized and made a bit more cynical by their experiences. However, both also experienced complete, genuine love that kept them from falling completely to the darkness.
Oriko is fascinating to me, though I am most fascinated by the potential she has as a rival to Homura, especially if the rivalry becomes more friendly and less bitter, thus making everyone panic. Though if the rivalry in this version of reality starts after Kirika’s taken in by the Law of Cycles, I imagine it’ll take a bit for them to get to that point. Maybe Oriko sees a vision convincing her Homura LIVING will save the world?
