The sign hung above the pearly white gates. The words appeared in English, then faded gradually into other languages and pictograms.The bold black font sat in contrast to the white cobblestones, rich green grass and well worn marble steps. Beneath it stood two angels, Nese and Edda. Their robes flowed around their floating forms, concealing their feet.
“Don’t you think,” Nese began. “That it’s a little, I don’t know, negative?”
“What do you mean? It’s the truth. Here their mortal lives have ended. It is the End.”
“Yes, but it’s a little threatening.”
Edda tilted her head. Her many eyes blinked in unison. “Maybe. I have another idea.”
She flew up and scribbled on the banner.
Welcome Mortals to your Doom.
“No doom is worse.”
Welcome to the End of all you know
“No.”
Welcome. You are dead now.
“Definitely not.”
Edda sighed. “I do not understand. Each of these pass the correct information.”
“Yes, but they are all a bit harsh.”
“You show me your ideal phrase,” Edda said, passing Nesse the pen.
“Gladly.”

“Oh,” Edda said. They took a few steps back. “Susintic. Informative. Do you believe that it is enough?”
Nesse threw an arm over Edda’s shoulder. “I think it’s perfect.”
OC: Nesse
Introducing my new Oblivion OC, Nesse (pronounces ness-eh, not nessy)! She’s a minotuar who was captured and forced to fight in the arena as a monster to fill in when the blue team didn’t have enough combatants (similar to what happens at the end of the quest line), but she kept winning and grew in popularity enough to the point they started treating her as an actual combatant. She was told that if she challenged the grand champion they would giver her her freedom, so she did, and won, becoming grand champion. Instead of freeing her, they told her she was too valuable, and that they had crafted up a scheme of pitting her against other “monsters” including captured minotaur like herself. She escaped her cell and wound up running into the emperor and blades in the sewer.
I dont think she is the canon HoK in my universe, I have another character in mind for that, but she ended up sticking with martin and even joining the blades to protect him because he was one of the first people to show her kindness, thus participating in a lot of the main story. I might have her do the fighters guild and probably the kotn, but I haven’t decided yet.
Anyway I love her, shes a trans woman, and even though I mostly just used assets from other mods, the minotaur race/suit was a bitch to make.
