Network Rules

General Rules

⌖ Hybe Hunters does not tolerate hate, harassment, or bullying of any kind. Our network welcomes everyone regardless of your race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, disability, education, nationality, background, etc. 

⌖ Hunters (members) will receive up to three warnings for any rule violations before their network membership is terminated.

If your membership has been terminated but you are eligible to reapply, you may do so after 1 year. Your termination message will include the exact date when you may submit a new application. 

If your membership has been permanently terminated, you will not be eligible to reapply and will be added to our blacklist. You will be notified if this is the case.

⌖ This network is exclusively for members aged 18 and above. Minors are not welcome under any circumstances. Any member discovered to have been dishonest about their age to obtain access to our network, member perks and amenities, discord server, or challenges and events, will face immediate and permanent membership termination. Notification of this will also be sent to fellow admins of our affiliated networks as part of our duty to uphold community integrity and honesty.

⌖ Multifandom content creators, as well as those who focus on a single Hybe group, are encouraged to apply. However, solo stans* are discouraged from applying as they will not be accepted.

It will be up to the crew's discretion on whether to accept or deny users who create content exclusively for one idol with broader fandom activity. While this could fall under the category of solo stanning, we also recognize that some creators may actively reblog or engage with other members of the same group, plus other groups entirely, yet may only feel inspired to exclusively create work for one idol.

*Fans that only like & support a single idol from a group, often dismissing the other members, believing them to be unimportant, untalented, or less worthy of attention, and focusing all fandom activity–such as fanfics, social media posts, and discussion–on that one idol, while ignoring or minimizing the contributions of the rest of the group.

⌖ The crew (admin + mod team) reserve the right to turn away applicants, give strikes, terminate members, and blacklist members from our network for any reason we deem necessary and not already listed.

⌖ Every hunter is highly encouraged to participate in network projects, engage in conversations with other members in our discord server, and utilize our network amenities.

⌖ Joining our discord server is a mandatory requirement for queueing purposes, receiving announcements, and sharing member updates; however, you do not need to be active in the chatting channels.

⌖ Here at HH, we do not endorse or support every action, decision, or practice associated with Hybe as a company or it's executives. This network exists to celebrate the artists under the label and to provide a space for fans to share their work, connect, and build community together.

Content Requirements

⌖ Our network accepts both written and visual content. Please review the following guidelines and requirements to know what we will reblog, and what information is necessary.

⌖ All content that uses our network tag and is shared in our discord server queue channel must be your own original content that is centered around a Hybe artist or member(s) of a Hybe group, see below:

Lee Hyun/Midnatt, BTS, Tomorrow x Together, Cortis, Enhypen, Illit, Evan, Le Sserafim, Bumzu, Hwang Min Hyun, Seventeen, TWS, Zico, Boynextdoor, NewJeans, &Team, Aoen, Katseye, Santos Bravos, & Saint Satine.

⌖ Reposting, stealing, or plagiarizing work that is not your own original content is not tolerated under any circumstances.

⌖ Using generative AI to write entire works, rewrite another creator’s fanfiction or original work to claim it as your own, or imitate another creator’s writing style/tone is strictly prohibited, as well as using generative AI to create graphics or other visual work.

⌖ Breaking any of the above content rules will lead to immediate and permanent membership termination.

⌖ HH will only promote and reblog nsfw/sexual content written by legal adults 18 years of age or older. 

We will not reblog any kind of nsfw/sexual content written by a minor or any kind of content including the sexualization of an underage idol or other minor character, whether fictional or real. Remember me: boo!

⌖ Banner and beta credit are required for written work if you have used either amenity, whether from our network or not. Please credit those who assist you!

⌖ If you create gifs, edits, or other content using videos or photos that are not your own, be sure to properly cite the original creator/source and respect any rules they have regarding reposting, editing, or giffing their content.

⌖ The following types of written work* are accepted network content:

Drabbles - fics less than 1,000 words

Oneshots - fics more than 1,000 words

Teasers - typically short previews for upcoming oneshots, series chapters, etc.

Series chapters - multi-chapter / multi-post fics

⌖ If your work contains the following content, it will not be reblogged: 

Pedophilia

Incest*

Child abuse, child neglect

Sex trafficking

Animal cruelty

Sexual abuse, rape, non-consensual sex

The romanticization of mental illnesses and serious health issues (depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, cancer, suicidal ideations, self harm, etc.)

*Stepcest, meaning sexual acts between non-biological step siblings (usually only linked through familial marriage, or represented as foster children, adopted children, etc.), are the only exclusion to this rule. This must be tagged/warned appropriately in your formatted fic details.

Server Rules

⌖ All rules previously stated still apply in our Discord server. In addition, we require that you follow the server-specific rules listed below:

⌖ Include your name and your blog url in your server nickname.

⌖ Use the appropriate channels for chatting, sharing content, etc.

⌖ Please refrain from spamming channels. If we see that this is happening, a timer/cool-down time will be set.

⌖ Do not share any actual porn, genitalia, or graphic sexual imagery. AI imagery is also prohibited.

⌖ Do not upload screenshots of private conversations without the other user's permission.

⌖ Do not steal someone else’s idea from the brainstorming channels. All ideas, unless given permission, are reserved for the party that discussed them. 

⌖ Do not share any private/confidential information about others.

⌖ Triggering content should not be discussed in any channel other than venting channels and should ALWAYS include trigger warnings at the beginning of the message. The triggering content should be hidden/blacked out for the safety of other members.

⌖ Please do not discuss any tumblr drama, idol drama, or any other kinds of controversial celebrity drama, national news, etc., in any of the main chatting channels, as it is all subjective, opinionated, and very divided. 

Any conversations related to the above must be contained to the venting channel. Our server is a safe space that we do not want disrupted conversations with arguments or touchy subjects.

⌖ Every channel's safe phrase is "let's ghost this.”

When using the safe phrase, please also tag the admin team or any other online moderator to step in. 

We will screenshot the messages (if a team investigation or member consequences are required), prune the channel accordingly, and change the subject. 

If you are not comfortable using the safe phrase, you are always welcome to privately DM a team member if a conversation is making you uncomfortable.

⌖ Please do not hesitate to notify or reach out to an admin if at any point you do not feel included or feel purposely left out, have a question or concern relating to the server or network, or have a problem with another member that you need to discuss.

Must be a kpop content-related network.

Must be an active network.

Must link us somewhere on your blog.

Network Rules

Before applying, please read the entirety of these rules to ensure you meet membership requirements, understand the responsibilities of becoming a society member, and are familiar with our content guidelines and server expectations

General Network + Member Rules

❦ K Smut Society does not tolerate hate, harassment, or bullying of any kind.

Our entire staff and all members are expected to respect one another and uphold themselves in a community-minded manner that reflects the values of our society. 

All idols, regardless of age or gender, shall also be respected and treated ethically. The only exclusion being the idols noted on KSS’s Idol Blacklist (found at the end of the Content Guidelines section)

❦ While our network maintains its membership exclusivity status, KSS promises that we remain fully inclusive regardless of your race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, disability, education, nationality, background, etc. 

Your application status is determined by several factors, including the quality of your fanfics, your writing skills, the types of fanfics you like to write, the answers you provide in your application, etc.

If your application is denied, it will never be for any of the items listed above.

❦ If your application to join our society was denied, you will be given a clear explanation via your application status message. In most cases, you will be encouraged to apply again during the next round of applications once the reasoning for denial has been addressed, corrected, improved upon, etc.

Content Guidelines

❦  All content that uses our network tag and is shared in our Discord server queue channel must be original written work that includes smut and is centered around a male kpop idol, whether a soloist or in a group, as this is a smut-specific kpop fanfiction network.

Reposting, stealing, or plagiarizing work that is not your own original content is not tolerated under any circumstances.

Using generative AI* to write entire works, rewrite another creator’s fanfiction or original work to claim it as your own, or imitate another creator’s writing style/tone is strictly prohibited. AI should only ever be used in very limited circumstances**, such as assisting with minor research*** or brainstorming, grammar correction, dictionary and thesaurus resources, formatting purposes, or for disability-specific support. 

Breaking any of these rules will lead to immediate and permanent membership termination.

*Includes ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Grammarly AI, Notion AI, Microsoft Copilot, Jasper, etc. **Anyone who chooses to use AI should cite that it was used and for what purpose to show their integrity as an honest writer, and warn readers who may prefer to avoid AI-assisted and AI-created content altogether. All of the limited circumstances listed above can be accomplished using other AI-free alternatives, which we highly advise doing instead.  ***AI is not accurate and should never be your primary source for research. Please look for multiple reputable, trusted sources to confirm information. KSS also asks that you educate yourself on the damage AI in general is doing to many communities across the world and the amount of natural resources it depletes. For reference, this article does a good job of explaining and visualizing what ChatGPT alone does to our environment.

❦ If your fanfic includes female kpop idols, we will only reblog it if a male kpop member is featured as the main character or a part of the main pairing.

❦ KSS will only promote and reblog nsfw/sexual content written by legal adults 21 years of age or older. 

We will not reblog any kind of nsfw/sexual content written by a minor or any kind of content including the sexualization of an underage idol or other minor character, whether fictional or real.

❦ Banner and beta credit are required if you have used either amenity, whether from our network or not. Please credit those who assist you!

Due to this change, all members must include a spice rating (view here) when sharing the links to their fics in our server.

❦ Society members are welcome to tag the KSS blog in content that follows our network guidelines, but please note that this does not mean we will queue from our notifications.

Formatting Rules for AO3

❦ If a KSS member has an Archive of Our Own account and would like to add their work to the K Smut Society Collection, the following details must be included:

❦ All trigger, smut, and dark content warnings should be as thoroughly listed as possible in your formatted fic details.

❦ If you need a reference for examples of these types of content warnings, please check out this page on our blog!

This list, while extensive, does not include everything that could fall under these warning categories. Some of these warnings also tend to fall under multiple categories depending on how it’s portrayed in your fic. Please use your own discernment to decide what warnings to list and what other potential warnings your fics may contain.

If you have any questions about content in your fic that may or may not need to be properly disclosed, or if any warnings fall under the realm of accepted content vs. unaccepted content, please reach out to an Admin to discuss! 

These dark content themes and triggers can be sensitive topics, and for that reason, the appropriate warnings must always be listed. It is not acceptable to simply mention dark content, sensitive topics, explicit themes, etc.

In some instances, such as fics with extreme romanticization or glamorization of dark content, the Admin team may determine that a work cannot be added to the queue.

Any warnings on the page above with an asterisk (*) next to them are scenario-specific, and it will be up to the Admin team to decide whether or not it’s acceptable to queue.

Fics that are missing important warnings or are mislabelled will also not be queued.

As stated previously, this must be tagged/warned appropriately in your formatted fic details.

Requirements

AGE - Must be 21+ years old to apply.

FICS - Must have 3 posted fanfics (on Tumblr, AO3, or Wattpad, etc.) that include smut prior to your application. These must be your own original content, as stolen/plagiarized fics and AI-written fics are strictly prohibited. Please note that you will be asked to provide links to these works.

BLOG - Must be an active blog that has either posted or reblogged a post within the last two weeks.

Things to keep in mind when applying

❦ Think about a specific fanfic of yours that you are proud of and showcases your writing skills, world-building, scene setting, etc. You will be asked to share this in your application for membership consideration.

❦ What do you wish to gain from being a member of our society? Do you seek friendship and community? Are you looking for help with a writing weakness?

❦ We will likely review your blog (including design, original posts, reblogged posts, etc.) to come to our final decision about your application.

❦ Please be advised that not everyone who applies will be accepted on their first application. If your application was denied, please follow the recommendation(s) listed in your dm for your next application. However, if you do not wish to reapply and simply move on from KSS, we completely understand.

Sent an acceptance message.

Tagged in an official acceptance post.

Listed on our society member page.

Followed by our network's main blog.

Invited to join our Discord server (mandatory).

Given access to all network amenities and special privileges.

Once Accepted

Reblog the acceptance post.

Join our Discord server via your acceptance message (mandatory).

Inform us of any URL changes so we can update our network info.

Notify us of any temporary, indefinite, or permanent hiatuses so you are not given a strike when member checks are in progress.

General Network Rules:

﹥ EXOasis is a safe network to promote and unite EXO writers from all walks of life - regardless of race, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, or ethnicity. Our mission is to establish a welcoming and creatively encouraging community amongst EXO writers.

Therefore any of the following will not be tolerated under any circumstances:

Bullying, harassment, hate speech, discrimination; racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic behavior; any form of disrespect; continually ignoring the use of the safe word (in the discord); persistent continuance of triggering topics (in the discord)

➤ Engaging in any of the above activity - either publicly, privately, through the use of anons, or through DMS - will result in immediate termination of membership with no chance of reapplication.

﹥ Under no circumstances will plagiarism be allowed. Any member found engaging in plagiarism will have their membership terminated with no chance of reapplication.

⇝ Admins and mods will be keeping a list of members/users who break the above rules to ensure membership will not, under any circumstances, be reinstated. ⇝ Members found supporting, or participating with (though not directly responsible), other users who break these rules will be given a warning. After two warnings, your membership will be terminated and you will be allowed reapply after four months.

﹥ You must let the admins know when you are going on hiatus or changing your URL. Failure to do so will result in termination from the network due to inactivity and you will be allowed to reapply after four months.

➤ WRITING EVENTS

﹥ Writing events are essential for fostering community, both within the network and on tumblr. Writing events will be hosted seasonally for members of the discord and bi-annually for members of the EXO community. 

⇝  Writing games are not mandatory, but participation is strongly encouraged ⇝  You do not need to be a member of the network to participate in bi-annual writing events. Sign up and event information will be included in the event post on the network blog ⇝ Seasonal writing events are for members of the network discord only. Information pertaining to seasonal games will be posted within the discord and announced via masterlist on the network blog
