During the upfront presentations, each network shows advertisers (and everyone else) their planned schedule for the following TV season. This means that we will finally get to see which new shows will try to win us…
The networks' fall schedules are nearly complete (The CW does their upfront presentation tomorrow). There are some interesting shows coming up for fall, so start making your grids and planning your DVR schedules (I know I'm not the only one who does this).
my predictions for which scripted shows will get renewed and which will get cancelled
with network upfronts starting next monday, i figured i'd make my predictions on what will or won't get renewed for next season before official announcements are made.
abc
body of proof - cancelled
castle - renewed
family tools - cancelled
grey's anatomy - renewed
happy endings - cancelled (though most likely picked up on cable)
how to live with your parents - renewed
last man standing - renewed
malibu country - cancelled
the middle - renewed
modern family - renewed
nashville - renewed
the neighbors - renewed
once upon a time - renewed
red widow - cancelled
revenge - renewed
scandal - renewed
suburgatory - renewed
all of these should be pretty set in stone. really the only ones at this point that could go either way are body of proof, malibu country, and the neighbors.

criminal minds - renewed
csi: ny - cancelled
golden boy - cancelled
rules of engagement - cancelled
vegas - cancelled
these are all pretty solid as well. rules of engagement has a small chance of squeaking through, but cbs has a pretty solid set of comedy pilots lined up, and has been pretty brutal in the past few years when it comes to axing its average performing shows.

nikita - renewed
with the cw's other on the fence shows (beauty and the beast and hart of dixie) already being renewed, that pretty much ensures the carrie diaries being cancelled. sorry bout it.

no chance for either of these. i don't think anyone is going to miss them.

guys with kids - cancelled
hannibal - cancelled
the new normal - cancelled

up all night - cancelled
whitney - cancelled
some of these are honestly shots in the dark. the only show on this list that's for sure to get renewed is parks and rec. on any other network, all the other ones that i marked as renewed would get cancelled, but when everything is performing badly, you have to renew a few terrible shows. if hannibal picks back up with tomorrow's episode, it could still save itself, but that's almost never the case with serial dramas in the middle of their runs.
so those are my predictions. we will soon see how many i got right. any questions/comments? outrages?
