to every single person who thinks autism is a terrible thing that must be cured: my 16 year old brother, who is autistic, graduated high school early. and he hasn't even gone to a day of high school in his life. he was taken out of school in middle school because of the horrendous bullying he suffered from students and teachers, including one incident where his shoes were stolen and he was forced to walk around school without shoes. none of the teachers noticed and he walked home from school with no shoes. he now spends his time playing video games with his friends online and dreams of creating a open world video game where there are six intelligent races on a planet, and you get to explore the whole planet with millions of npcs. he's already come up with most of the races, including tree people and red skinned amphibious people. my brother is incredible. he is one of my best friends. stop using autism as an insult. it is a gift. autism is not a terrible disease that will take away your child. it doesn't have to be feared, or cured. accept people as they are, autism and all.
