every video I record you can hear me wheezing in the background of. Every doctor who has heard it has just told me to stop breathing so loud.
I have fucking myasthenia gravis dude, i don't know what to tell you.

*This is specifically talking about physical brain damage. autism, ADHD, and mental illnesses like depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, etc. cause brain changes that are not brain damage. if you don't have actual brain damage but instead you have autism, ADHD, or a mental illness you should not vote because this poll is not for you
***if you are here to ask me whether or not your situation counts as brain damage assume the answer is "no"
if you have brain damage and aren't sure if you struggle to see optical illusions then here are some to test your abilities on:
this is supposed to be a face and a vase ^
there are supposed to be multiple faces hidden in the branches of this tree ^
when you look at the white swans the background is supposed to be black and when you look at the black swans the background is supposed to be white ^
this is supposed to appear as a w and an m ^
if you struggled with one but not the others click "yes." if you could do it but it was difficult in ways you wouldn't expect of people without brain damage click "yes." (most people without brain damage can switch between these/spot them effortlessly) if you could see one part but couldn't switch to the other click "yes."
if you don't have brain damage but struggled with these don't tell me about it 👍 struggling with these doesn't automatically mean you have brain damage, please don't self diagnose yourself based on your ability to see optical illusions 👍
if you have brain damage feel free to tell me about your answer and what part/s of your brain are damaged
myasthenia gravis is having to carry a pulse ox with you everywhere to monitor your o2 levels to make sure your body isnt suddenly deciding your breathing privileges have really been revoked
People with brain damage*, do you experience insomnia?
I have always had brain damage, yes I experience insomnia
I have always had brain damage, no I don't experience insomnia
I acquired brain damage, I have always experienced insomnia
I acquired brain damage, yes I developed new insomnia
I acquired brain damage, no I don't experience insomnia
I have brain damage and fit in another category (share?)

*This means actual literal physical brain damage (TBI, ABI, other physical forms of brain damage). This does not mean PTSD, depression, bipolar, autism, ADHD, etc. Brain differences are not inherently brain damage.
People with brain damage*: does melatonin work on you?
Yes
Inconsistently
No
I don't know
I do not have brain damage
*As in PHYSICAL damage. NOT autism. NOT PTSD. NOT depression. NOT bipolar disorder. PHYSICAL brain damage. brain changes do NOT automatically mean brain damage. if you have to ask if you "count" then PROBABLY NOT.
they used to have dedicated wheelchair spots in the waiting room for the neuro clinic / rehab center and they put tables in those spots and I am so pissed. I have no where to sit. it is a crowded room with many chairs and I end up just blocking the entire aisle. why!? this is the literally the NEURO CLINIC with NEURO REHAB ‼️ 1/8 of the people here use wheelchairs ‼️
I always thought it was so nice and considerate of them to give me a place to sit where I for the first time did not feel in the way. and they put tables there. 😠
reading this page about the after effects of encephalitis and it's like... holy shit that explains so much of my struggles. like, actually, brain inflammation does cause long term problems? no fucking way
