an civil antishipper is someone who disagrees with darkshipping (minor x adult etc), but also disagrees with antis who send harassment to darkshippers. A civil anti may block and report accounts posting darkship content or offer support and check in on darkshippers instead of telling them they deserved their truama. A civil anti ally is someone who isn’t an anti but believes antis are not bad people for their opinion.

This isn’t directed at civil antis, yall are chill have a good day.

I’m talking about the chronically online ones. The ones who repost screenshots of “🍖🌈Emily/12/I love older men:333🎱🎀” with captions like EWWWW TOUCH GRASSS. Yall are the ones that need to touch grass. a horribly traumatised CHILD is clearly sending out a cry for help, and your reaction is to direct hate towards the kid and prioritise how you felt icky above the kids wellbeing. Yes, they’re putting themself at risk of predators and the situation they’re in and the trauma they must’ve gone through is disgusting. It’s normal to be disturbed. But directing your disgust back at the child is horrible.

I don’t care if you didn’t tell the kid to kys or tell them they deserved their trauma. It’s already messed up your first reaction to seeing these accounts is disgust instead of concern. Unless you’re chronically online, you’d care for the real human being that was hurt more than the fictional characters.

Odviously those aren’t the majority of antis, most antis believe in recovery instead of harassment. The crazy harassers are a loud minority that seems more active than they are because they don’t take internet breaks. But this is still a problem within antishippers that needs to be addressed.

I finally get why vent art is full of scribbles. When u don’t have the mental energy to draw anything coherent. sometimes the best way to get yourself to start is starting by drawing a garbled mess of who knows what. and I get why vent has such scratchy lineart. Because sometimes it’s hard to find the mental energy to draw in clean lines. So it’s easier to do vague sketch, and later you scribble trace over the sketch while leaving the sketch there. Thats some tips for any artist struggling to find the mental energy to draw out there I finally get why vent art is full of scribbles.
