i think some people forget that up until the 5ks, it was supposed to be that naruto didnt understand sasuke. kishimoto knew that naruto wasnt understanding him when he was claiming that obito brainwashed him and that sasuke would never attack konoha. jiraiyas death gave naruto some insight into how it feels to lose someone close to you which assisted naruto in better comprehending sasukes pain and how it differs from narutos but hearing the truth about the massacre was what finally got naruto to understand that he hadnt actually been looking at sasuke.

I know what I want in the long run. I know the type of guy I’d like to eventually end up with. I’ve known for a long time.

So why for the love of all that is good and logical did blue-eyed, baseball-golfing Goldilocks have to catch my attention? I’ve been waiting for that asshole side to come out and I think I finally found it, but the specific type of asshole he might be hasn’t deterred me any either.
