It's coming to an end and before that happens, it was a lovely ride. 🥹

I'm so happy this wonderfully complex, beautifully written, poignant, harrowing, HUMAN show got made and we all got to enjoy it. I have no doubt in Richard to make the ending worthwhile of the ride we've been on.

And it's been a delight watching all of you lovely people in here analyze the show, create fan art, write fics, make edits and so on. You are all so smart, talented and I hope the fandom does carry on, even after the finale.

If not, it's still been a delightful ride. 😊

I often see people asking "is the idea I have unique and interesting?" and I think the most important thing is — is it unique to you, is it interesting to you? does it make you happy? does it bring you comfort? is it inspired by things you love and cherish? if so, that's the only thing that really matters because it doesn’t have to be good for the whole world, it has to be good for you. so create, tell stories, inspire, be grateful for other creators and respect their work and if what you do has a part of who you are in it then it will always be unique.

and just look at you! you created something with your own mind, the ideas came out of you and you put it on paper with whatever skill and experience you have at the moment and it will only become better with time and practice! you made it! cherish it!

I gotta say, I love scrolling through the self-ship and objectum tags.

Just today, I saw people picturing themselves with characters I would have never thought of like Tintin or Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, I saw people talking about their fictional robot partner and the concept of cathedrals, how they are meant to welcome your love and devotion.

Every time I check those tags, despite how weird or uncommon the recipient of the adoration is, all that transpires is humanity and the desire to love and be loved.

I don't know, there's just something comforting in knowing that at the end if the day, all of us just wish for the comfort of someone or something that we can appreciate and potentially have it appreciate us back.

I just want to say this for anyone who’s feeling disheartened by the cancellation and feels like anything they make for étoile doesn’t matter bc of it:

They (Gabias) are literally the reason I watched étoile and without edits of them on TikTok I never would have found this show that now means so much to me.

I’ve seen people say they feel what they make doesn’t matter now that it wasn’t renewed and to that I say don’t let a bunch of dumb execs take this show from you, as long as you create for and post about étoile it will never truly die. You keep these characters alive.

So I want every editor/artist/anyone who creates for etoile to know that what you make really keeps this fandom alive and helps it grow even when it doesn’t feel like it. Even when it feels pointless just know it never is, what you make will always matter to someone. Never stop creating, it’s more important than you know 💕

I hope this inspires people to keep making stuff they like.

This goes for any piece of media btw (I’m part of the Hannibal fandom and we’ve been going strong for literally 10 yrs so, as long as we keep creating the show will never truly die)

Thank you all for everything

Hey everyone! Man this is a rough post to make lol. I want to start this off by saying I never thought I’d be here or post my art anywhere. This has been a dream come true. I’ve met some amazing people that got me through the rougher parts of the past few months. Every friend I’ve made here means the world to me. I’ve improved so much as a person thanks to you all. As you’ve probably guessed, this is a goodbye post. But not forever! I’m hoping to get a YouTube channel this summer and start posting stuff there! My parents don’t know I made a tumblr account and I feel guilty about that. That’s not the only reason I’ve decided to leave though. Right now, it’s the best thing for me mentally is to step away from social media. It’s been a rough few months with school getting really busy. I want to make sure I have my priorities straight. I really want to get my life together. Again, I could have never gotten this far without all of you. I want to especially thank all of the people who supported me. You’re all so talented and wonderful people who made me feel so loved. I won’t be deleting my account, but I will be logging out of it. I’ll wait till next Sunday to completely leave. I’m gonna miss all of you so so much for supporting me. I don’t really know how to end this or what else to say so I’m sorry 😅. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so glad I got to be here.
