(to elaborate: the idea that luke skywalker would ever discourage those kinds of attachments is ridiculous. that luke skywalker, whose very disobedience of that dogma saved not only his father but the whole galaxy? THAT luke skywalker, who could have silently slipped away on endor without ever telling leia they were siblings, but chose to reveal the truth bc he loved her so much? THAT luke skywalker, who found the family he always longed for in the rebellion? THAT LUKE??? i can understand maybe asking ben to only call him “uncle luke” privately—to set an example for his fellow padawans and not give the impression ben was receiving special treatment. but to forbid it completely?? be for fucking real. i’m fighting whoever decided this)

There are a lot of linguistic things which I, intentionally or otherwise, pick up whenever I relocate. I never stopped using "dude" as every single part of speech, so no one is ever going to mistake me for a native of anywhere but California, but still we move on and grow and adapt. My spouse and her family say "gesundheit" instead of "bless you" to a sneeze; okay, I say it too. A beanie is a touque here, okay. Etc.

But still, I am a west coast man, and I will be cold and damned before I ever refer to it as "pop." I will offer my spouse by brand (i.e. "care for some Pepsi"), or merely say "a beverage" because "soda" sounds weird to her, but "pop" sounds no less insane to me. I will not say it. You cannot make me. Death first.

every day i’m haunted by the thought that i’m the reason nazanin-boniadi . net was suspended

hanbin literally sacrificed his entire childhood to debut. he was thrown into a survival show where he had to compete against his own friends so win or lose it was shitty because it meant your own friends wouldn’t debut because you did. after losing the first survival show which must have hurt so much, he literally went on to produce and write winner’s debut “empty”. then yg threw him into the deep end and made him compete in ANOTHER survival show except this time he was safe but his friends were not and on top of that he had to train new trainees and then just be expected to drop them if yg wanted to eliminate them. like fuck any kind of relationship he formed with them huh.

FINALLY he gets to debut and yg takes to treating the entire band like trash now. yg had a dinner with blackpink before he did with ikon and even then it was because of how successful love scenario was. can you even imagine sacrificing so much to join a company only for the man in charge to disregard your efforts until you start bringing in serious money? not to mention yg has always demeaned hanbin because hanbin does not give a damn about this man’s opinion so yg takes to shooting him down. the fact that love scenario was only released because yg FORGOT hanbin showed him the song before, it literally shows yg doesn’t care about hanbin’s efforts.

hanbin is the core of ikon. there is no ikon without him.

and the fact that yg is willing to disregard ALL of that because of a CONVERSATION he had 3 years ago is insulting to everything hanbin has done. yg should have defended hanbin and done everything he could to make him stay but he didn’t and now ikon are probably going to be on hiatus for the next 3 years and lee hi’s promotions are left in limbo because who the fuck exactly does yg think is going to perform with her in place of hanbin?

right now, i hope hanbin is with people who love and care for him. people who only want the best for him because reading his ig statement really hurt because he’s so ashamed of something he DIDN’T do because he was in a bad place and no one deserves to feel like that.
