I really like the 2011 Bon Iver, Bon Iver album a lot. Songs like Holocene really calmed my anxiety when it was super high. I just remember playing it over and over on my walks.
Ahh that's great to hear, that is probably my all-time favorite non-Taylor album. I just am never sure if someone's gonna like it lol. I actually had it on repeat around 4am to 7am today because I was anxious and couldn't sleep and it finally helped me fall back asleep :') Holocene means sooo much to me. I'm so happy this album helped you so much, too :')

I need to talk about how poetic and healing Bon Iver’s music is. When I don’t listen to it for a while then listen to it again, it’s like I’ve ever a magical forest and my brain is transformed in the best way possible. Like how do I sometimes forget to go back and listen to him? He’s a genius.
I am always so happy to talk about this, because this happens even to me. You described it so well!! It really is like a wave of calm rushes over me and even when the lyrics are absolutely chilling or sad or relatable or happy or whatever, it just feels so personal yet ethereal. And the way his voice and lyrics and music blend together in unexpected ways, gah. Truly beyond special.
