Do you keep any of your clothes from your highest weight for comparison later on in life? Does it ever feel surreal to you?
I did keep a whole bunch of xxl’s and my old favorite pair of pants which were a size 18 but I realized I was just holding on to the past and donated about 8 bags of clothes… some even with the tags still on. I kept 1 important thing though. The purple dress that I wore in my other “before” pic (see it in progress page) which literally looks like a nightgown on me now. It’s crazy to put it on when I am feeling down and remember what it was like to put it on at 280lbs.
I never used to be able to wear boots either so this winter I bought two steve madden ones that come over my calf and every time I zip them up now it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come.
so my grandma recently came up to me and said i need to lose weight and if i can get down to 160 she will take me shopping for a whole new wardrobe..i am 5'9 so thats a good weight. but ughhh i love food and eat even if im not hungry because it just tastes so good. :( i really want to lose the weight and i hope this is the motivation i need.
put your grandmother’s wishes aside for a second… in your heart of hearts what do you want? Although she may have your best wishes at heart you know yourself best and if you are not ready to make this healthy change then the motivation won’t last. I too want you to be the healthiest version of youself but if you are not ready no one can force it upon you. Make a vision board and think about the things that you want to accomplish beside the physical pounds coming off so you can work towards something tangible like a 5k or that new wardrobe. Just do this for you because you want to not because you feel forced to.
Your opinion is not my reality.
I thought a hard boiled egg was only 35 calories!! D: oh crap it's 70-something???
One large hard-boiled egg contains 78 calories. If you’re strictly watching caloric intake, go with a small egg. As a general guideline, you will gain about 10 additional calories every time the size of the egg increases from small to medium, large, extra large and jumbo. A small egg has 54 calories and the jumbo-sized egg jumps to 90 calories.
I came to check out the stupid drama about the size 8 jeans I followed because of the amazing content and motivation!!
woohoo! Thanks for the follow!! Please don't think the drama you read is normal... this is the first situation I've had in the two years of running this blog. I don't stand for it. Positive vibes only, welcome to the fam :)
why is it more expensive to buy Isagenix on amazon? I don't get it.
Because there are scammers out there who buy the products through the correct channels (from a friend or family etc) and then sell it on eBay and Amazon at a higher value to make a profit. They do not have good intentions and don't give a shit about your progress or if you have support on your journey either. Although isagenix is trying to crack down on it, there are too many people to regulate and track down every single box that is being sold without good intentions. People suck sometimes.
How did they steal your groceries?
UGH! My life is a joke.. I felt like I was on candid camera. Cooper jumped in a muddy pile of melted snow and got my carpet dirty. I walked all the way down to the local bodega with him to pick up cleaning supplies and some veggies for the week. In the end it was like $50 something in change worth of food and paper towels and stuff. I walk into my building elevator and drop Cooper’s leash because I can’t hold him and the bags at the same time- very heavy. Cooper runs out of the elevator when the doors open and I go after to get him back. The doors close behind me and the elevators go down. I click the button and in a few seconds the doors open…. The bags are gone. Someone literally stole my groceries in 30 seconds. Fml. Last night I left an intense “fuck you asshole” message in the elevator and “if you have any human decency, please think twice and return my groceries to me. It’s good karma”. Last night around midnight Cooper was barking like crazy but I didn’t understand why. My roommate comes home an hour later and low and behold the bags are sitting right outside my door. It was my fault for leaving the bags in the elevator but I live in a 4 floor luxury building in the heart of Brooklyn and I didn’t expect someone to do something like that in my building. Luckily, they thought twice and had a heart to return everything back to me. Its a happy ending.
