I'm not sure I remember a more beautiful fall Thanksgiving day in the 14 years I've lived in New England. An early morning stroll provided some much needed quiet time to reflect on what's truly important and those aspects of our lives for which we are thankful: family, special friends, good health, and the freedom to celebrate a day like this that many of us take for granted. Across these dimensions of our lives, we are challenged regularly, often daily. We sometimes become frustrated, angry, fearful, or regretful.
Today is beginning of a new holiday season and an opportunity for us to take that deep breath, slow down, and remember how fortunate we are, notwithstanding the challenges, and believe that every day is a day to learn, to grow and look for that silver lining that gives us renewed hope that so much is possible.
