Always post the rules!
1. Answer the questions.
2. Ask 5 new questions.
3. Tag 5 new blogs.
4. Message these blogs to let them know they have been tagged.

Questions:
1. Are there any authors/books who you absolutely would NOT recommend?
No, because I think reading is a very personal experience and what my opinions are most likely will not reflect the opinions of the next person. For instance, I did not particularly enjoy The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (I was twelve when I read it but yeah). Clearly some people did, otherwise it wouldn't be a classic!
2. Have you ever cried while reading a book (with joy, sadness or anger…)? If so, which one/s?
*heavy breathing* yes
*grips table so tightly my knuckles turn white* tHE bb OO K ThiEF
*breaks table with force of grip* also A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings made me cry
*falls on floor* anD THE H OB BIT
3. Is there anything you would change about your favourite book?
First of all u are implying I can pick a favourite book hahahahah no no I cannot
I suppose Tolkien's stuff - more female characters, always *levels steady glare at JRR*
The Book Thief, lESs HEARtBREAKIng PLEasE (this goes for Black Beauty as well, the first book to break my heart)
4. Are there any film/TV adaptations of books that you genuinely think are better than the book original? If not, which is best?
Well, I enjoyed the TV adaptation of The Bad Mother's Handbook better than the book. In general, tho', I argue that book is best!
5. Has a book ever made you want to go somewhere because of the setting? If so, what and where?
YES!! Maddie and I are going to go to Prague someday together because of The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. Hopefully in the next year! :D
~*~
My Questions:
1. Any books that have changed your life/had some profound impact on you, no matter how little?
2. Favourite childhood book?
3. Book you have read the most? (unless you are not someone who re-reads, in which case, book you probably would reread?)
4. Do you think reading other forms of literature (poems, plays, etc.) compares to a good ol' novel/book?
5. Have you ever read several works/the complete works of an author? (For instance, I have read like 10 Philippa Gregory novels) If so, which one?
I tag:
durinssons, brothersri, hadlow-brown, nevermakemeblue, teaforhd
Also if you see this and feel like it then go for it woo!
talk books to me /horn of gondor blows in the distance/
So it seems I've been tagged twice!
Both the dears nevermakemeblue and iknewaman seem to have decided I was worthy to be tagged, so I guess I will be answering 10 questions!
Rule 1: always post the rules Rule 2: always answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write your questions Rule 3: tag 11 people Rule 4: actually tell them you tagged them
So first the questions from nevermakemeblue:
1. What is the last truly crazy thing you did? I kind of spontaneously booked a trip to London over new years on a whim about a month before?
2. What do you want written on your tombstone? Tbh, just my name is enough, and like, seeing as it's obv going to be hyphenated with Cumberbatch by then I think that's enough ridiculousness for one stone..
3. What was the last thing you read/saw that had you in tears (book, fanfic, film anything)? The last thing was this ad for marriage equality [x] (watch it!!), but seeing as it's that time of the month I have only today teared up about almost being late to work, this [x], a cheesy segment on Ellen, and someone proposing on Grey's Anatomy..
4. Name a ship or just a show that still gets to you even though you’ve long left the fandom. I mean, I could never leave it, but I guess Harry Potter is furthest away at the moment, so Drarry I guess. Or to spice it up, my babies George/Harry.
5. If you could have the ability to communicate with one animal in the world which would it be? My cat. I need to know what she's on about man.
And now for the questions from iknewaman!
1. If you could absorb the personality of one famous person (dead or alive) who would it be and why? After thinking long and hard I have decided I'd like to be Ian McKellen. A+ personality and attitude, plus I'd be part-Gandalf.
2. If you could name a colour, what colour and what would you name it? (I’m sorry about this question, I’m writing this thing at 2 A.M., I hope you understand). I'd make plaid a colour instead of a pattern and then naturally name it Winchester.
3. If you could be a mythological creature, which one would you be and why? A dragon. I'd be all up in that death/destruction/fire game. Even Smaug would bow to me.
4. Which Disney villain would you want to be? I'd like to be Hades from Hercules, a sassy motherfucker if I ever saw one.
5. Give me three of your most favourite or creative swear words. Go on, hit me with your best shot! I mean, I mostly just use variations of fuck. Right now a favourite is 'holy fuckery' or simply 'fucking fuck'. But using book titles instead of swearing? That'd be the dream. I'd feel to fucking sophisticated and intelligent it would be otherworldly. 'Sweet lord of the rings'? Oh yes.
And the eleven people I tag will have to be:
sugarforme
bytheloveofravenclaw
twistedideology
benedoodle-cumberpoodle
theedgeofmydesire
hour-of-the-wolf
thorin-ohhhkenshield
snapshotstar
sulkinvulcan
upagainstthefuckingwall
theoneviki
And the questions you get to answer are:
1. Do you have an obsession? (Be it a fandom, a person, an activity, an idea, a dream, anything!)
2. What is the most amazing place you've ever been to? (Again, it could be a country, a city, a bar you frequent, what have you)
3. What is your favourite vegetable and why?
4. How many languages do you speak and are there any others you dream of learning?
5. Do you have an unexpected talent? Like speed-knitting or glacier climbing or perhaps you simply meow better than the average person?
Taaaaagged!
So I was tagged by this lovely lady to do a Thing:
Rule 1: always post the rules Rule 2: always answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write your questions Rule 3: tag 11 people Rule 4: actually tell them you tagged them
Her Questions:
1. What is the last truly crazy thing you did?
Ugh, it's been a while. Spontaneous trip to Liverpool during which I may have got absurdly drunk, made out with a friend, and ended the night calling an ambulance. I think that tops the list. Plus other stuff (and we shall have to catch up at Easter!! :D)
2. What do you want written on your tombstone?
"Here lies Beth, probs killed by The Hobbit and/or Richard Armitage's face"
3. What was the last thing you read/saw that had you in tears (book, fanfic, film anything)?
The Walking Dead had me crying like a fucking baby the other day
4. Name a ship or just a show that still gets to you even though you’ve long left the fandom.
A show would be Doctor Who, I'm so outta the loop on it and yet it gets to me! As for a ship, it's gotta be Sam/Jack from Stargate: SG-1
5. If you could have the ability to communicate with one animal in the world which would it be?
Spiders.
I just wanna know....why?
And also get away from me.
*
Ugh, I don't know 11 people ;n; I'm just gonna tag sassassthranduil, and if any of my other followers read all the way down here, you too!
1) The worst headcanon of your main fandom you can think of? 2) Are you a fan of musicals? In which case, what're your favourite lyrics from a musical? 3) Most emotionally crippling book/TV show/movie you've ever experienced 4) All-round favourite fictional character 5) What's your opinion on the morally grey area of shagging a lecturer? (I ask because I have many shaggable lecturers and I think I'm living the dream, what do you think?)
Harry Potter x Bilbo Baggins. Eiffel Tower. Do yo thang.
dfhgjkdsgfheskfewukshgfgr
Harry Potter had seen many things in his short life - wizards, witches, giants, flying broomsticks, trolls, three-headed dogs - you name it, Harry had seen it.
So why, then, was he always so surprised to meet something - or someone - inexplicable?
And Bilbo Baggins truly was inexplicable. For one, he was standing at the top of the Eiffel tower, gazing dreamily at the view of Paris, but had called Harry over when he saw him and introduced himself - apparently, Harry was famous in all walks of magical life. Bilbo was small, much smaller than any man Harry had met before, but when he had blurted that out, Bilbo had puffed up his chest and told him crossly that he was, in fact, tall for a Hobbit.
Harry blinked stupidly. “What’s a Hobbit?”
Bilbo sighed. “Oh, dear. We’ve got some catching up to do.”
then they made out idk what you want from me
