Job Search Woes
Trying to update my resume and can't think of a single thing I've accomplished at school besides surviving
STEMI is difficult. Pray for me. I need this cert.
One day back at work and so many relatable new grad OT problems
1. SW and I buy snacks to bring to a meeting because we're going to present at another team's team meeting. Spend a long time picking out what we want to eat. Get so nervous about presenting that we forget to eat. Leave the meeting and after about 5 minutes proceed to ask each other if we have desk snacks. 2. Attempt to network with OTs who are my mom's age. Fake laugh and nod at their complaints about using computers and the Internet to chart. "Yeah technology...haha...so..difficult.." *shifty eyes* *goes on tumblr to write about it* 3. Call all my clients to let them know I'm back from vacation. Get extremely awkward every time they ask how it was because I am hyper aware of my privilege to go on such a great vacation. Seriously. My vacation was great.
Crossing my fingers...
...for a possible job offer this week. It's at a nursing home, but I really don't care at this point. I like old people well enough, and I'll get plenty of assessment and med pass experience. Hospitals and Seattle will come with experience...I just need to be patient.
Realistically I get the most job applications done at night but if I apply to jobs before bed I can't sleep at night because I get overly anxious.
I literally have this thing where applying to jobs gives me so much anxiety I can't sleep at night
