Hi new to the ship n tumblr...I’m a SC believer but Id like to hear from you, an expert, what you believe is true? Like a timeline of proof- I don’t want to miss anything. When does Tony show up? How soon after IFH (learn about that interview today n I’m sorry I did 😥) oh what exactly happened with Hawaii?

Hello Nonnie, and welcome to the SC ship! I slightly edited your Ask, as there are some things I don’t discuss on my blog. I don’t usually allow discussion of Tony either, but I decided to include it for your clarity. 

In terms of a timeline, as soon as I post this I’m going to reblog a post by a former shipper. It goes into an amazing amount of detail, and it doesn’t make sense for me to create something new when her timeline is so thorough. I’ll also reblog a post by @jemscorner​ showing tweets in which Sam refers to Cait as wife and wifey. (Jem is one of my favorite bloggers. If you don’t follow her yet, I highly recommend it!) I’ll also throw in my “SamCait Love Story” post that shows how their love evolved. They should all be helpful to you.

I certainly don’t consider myself an expert on Sam and Cait, but I am a steadfast shipper. I trust what they have both shown us over the years, albeit more overtly in the early years. Read the posts I mentioned above, and see if you agree that SC were in love and headed for a reveal when we got the IFH instead. 

Tony showed up after Sam and Cait were caught kissing behind the scenes in Fife in 2015 (although he’d been Cait’s friend for several years before that). In the background Duncan Lacroix (”Murtagh”) is acting like this is no big deal. 

TPTB were not amused. Following Fife Sam had to show up in Monte Carlo with the younger sister of a former co-star, looking like he’d rather be anywhere but with her, and Cait showed up with Tony at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Sam took his mom. I read that SC left together, though. Tony started showing up at events, usually appearing to be Cait’s personal assistant. He’d often hold her purse or sunglasses. Someone even has a video of him waiting behind the building where Cait was being interviewed for a late night show. When Cait came out, he left with the other assistants. 

My personal opinion is that Cait is uncomfortable in certain situations (like crowds), and since she no longer has Sam to lean on in public, Tony helps her out. I believe he’s an old and trusted friend and part of her group of gay friends. The fact that he’s already at events as her PA made him an easy choice to play the part of her fake fiance and fake husband. 

I believe Hawaii was a PR event that ran amok when the pandemic became so widespread and Sam was stuck there. We know that Starz and Sony like to promote Sam as eye candy; Hawaii could have been a ploy by his team to promote him as a bad boy a la Jimmy Dalton, his Bloodshot role. A blogger you might want to follow who has experience and wisdom in this area is @cb4tb​. 

I think this covers all your questions. My advice is to ignore the narrative and trust what you know. It’s amazing how clear the truth is when you learn to ignore the noise.

Pretty new to Mac x Riley. fun fact I actually shipped them via a music video I found on YouTube and now I’m sat here watching Macgyver wondering why they’re not together or how Mac was into anyone else because they have aaamaxing chemistry! I’m ruined all over again! 😭

For someone who isn't into Disney princess movies and only watched Frozen once (when it first came out YEARS ago). I gotta admit... Helsa is a pretty damn great what/if ship. Who knew after only seeing one fanart of them as lovers would suddenly make me fall for them this hard. Kudos to the Helsa fandom for getting me interested in a pairing I NEVER thought I would even think about, let alone ship! I hope you guys get your wish of Helsa getting together. Cause honestly, after going though the tag you guys look like you've been though a lot dealing with time and haters. Y'all deserve a break for once. 😂
